I am glad for this site.  I truly love photography and will be happy with a new camera.

I am originally from Singapore, but have served in the U.S. Army airborne infantry at Ft. Bragg, and while serving out my enlistment there, I was naturalized a U.S. citizen - with all the rights to belly aching I can manage.  I have been a science teacher and now I am PhD "wannabe" in History; prior to that I worked as a telecommunications engineer for Nikon (Full Frame Sensors) followed by a short stint with Canon running the lenses department.

I am also very interested in boudoir photography. When I lived in Scottsdale Arizona my favorite photographer for boudoir was https://www.alohaboudoir.com

I prefer dark and moody photos rather that bright and airy. Just my opinion.

Just wanted to say HI to all, and that I very much look forward to hanging around and seeing this purely-10mm forum grow!  A huge THANKS!!! to those that created this site.

Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Welcome to the forum Redline. :)

Welcome Para10MM, man you have been busy!  Welcome as a citizen and thank you for you service as well.

I left the Bren forum a few years ago due to all of that negativity as well.  Some good guys and great info, but it got to a point all the negative stuff was wearing me down.  It was all about stuff beyound our control.  So I bailed.

Just saying hello. I've been intrigued by 10mm for a long time and I fear I will very soon be the owner of a 10mm lens. I'm trying to decide which one. I am also very interested in photography like some of you.

Fear? There should be no fear. There should be nothing more than excitement. At least for me that's how it is every time I step to the camera lens. Like shooting, photography just make me happy. Especially boudoir photography!!

Fear of....

What means for my bank account.
What it means for my lens budget.
What it may mean for my wife.
Hopefully I can buy a few more cameras for my boudoir photography hobby as well.

;D

I have no significant other anymore to be in fear of when it comes to buying cameras. I especially like the new canons coming out.

The fear is because of the empty eyes and hollow souls he sees in the rest of you whose lives are consumed by the high effeciency mistress we call 10mm auto.

Lucky I don't have that mallady.  Now, the girls demand more ammo be loaded cause they are hungry.   ;D

Welcome to the forum Amsdorf.  Yes deciding can be tough.  After the first, it gets easy.

Happy to see another place where aficionados of photography can hang out. Such a great place.

Welcome aboard Perfect10!

Hey Everyone,

My name is Colin, from southern California.  Proud owner of a 1006, 1066, and G29SF. My midlife crisis, a '68 Bronco, is currently in control of my finances, so I will probably not get any more 10mms anytime soon.  But the three I have are just fine for me.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, so I won't contribute too much.  But I will be enjoying the info and the photos!
