The Bren Ten is a gorgeous piece of work. I'd hate to be the person having to let this beauty piece go, even for a measly $5,000!

Very nice piece! Too bad it didn't come with a dictionary for the seller.

Hahaha yeah that's a shame. I noticed that his user name is awfully Asian-sounding and felt bad at the part where he misspelled "collected" as "corrected."  ;D

No way would I pay 5K for that.

To a collector it's probably well worth it. I won't own anything I don't shoot though.

Wolfie

I concur, I fire everything I have.

If you don't use it, how do you know it works?

My wife had bought me a 1913 1911 at auction, I couldn't bring myself to shoot it so I sold it.

You have to shoot your guns.

I bought a 38 Super Colt Stainless Enhanced last year and a Kimber Eclipse 10mm this year. I bought them thinking I would just collect and not fire them.

I took both out and fired them and they both needed to go back to the factory.

They both came back and are now tip top. I may not fire them as much as the other ones, but you need to make sure anything you buy functions. The only way to do that is to fire them.

I agree completely; as beautiful as that gun is and as "nice" as it would be to keep it pristine, it wouldn't make much sense to me to have it any not ever ensure it actually works. The same can be said of any collectible, especially cars and anything else that actually has moving parts: if you don't know it works, how do you know you're getting what you paid for?? I'd hate to buy it and have myself a $5000+ paperweight, no matter how awesome it looked.
