I have waited a bit to make my official response about this new Sig 10mm. But here it goes.

I'm not impressed. I'm just not. A full size modern duty pistol with only 8 round capacity? And the $1,400 price tag? Insane. I can get a Delta Elite for half that price with that capacity.

A Glock or Witness can be had for $500 and a 14-15 round capacity to boot.

I'll pass.

Patriot,

I agree completely. Some have viewed it as revolutionary or industry-changing but I see very little to have my skirt blown up about, especially considering the price. Yes it's "a Sig" but at what point do we stop viewing it as the new iPhone of guns and say "Hey maybe that's a little too much money for something that really isn't all that special?" I mean, if you like it and you want to own one, by all means please do! It looks great and I'm sure most Sig guys would wholeheartedly agree. It's just not for me.

Wolfie

I plucked down $1,200 for mine. Should have been at least 10 rounds but I can live with 8.

I am not trying to make this political but what is the benefit of having a 10rd mag in a state that you can't load more than 7. Also is that 7+1 or 7 total, my reason for asking is I always hear 7 in the mag.

Wolfie

I am HR218 qualified and I can carry more when I am out of state. (I usually carry my Glock 30S)

Its 7 in the mag one in the chamber.

Dumb law, should be no magazines that extend below the grip over 1 round.

FTFY.

What state has a law stating 7? I'm aware of a few with 10. What a horrible place.

Wolfie

NY a state where Democrats and Republicans passed the law.

I agree. My buddy and I spoke about this same thing. If this were an $800 gun I might give it a serious thought. But for the money, I would rather pick up a Kimber or a Delta Elite.

Show me where your getting a Delta Elite for $800, and I'll get it tomorrow. They're all about 1 grand or more on Gunbroker. And that's for a used one.

I love my only SIG, a P229. I drool over getting one in 10mm.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

I don't see any right now. Back in November when I was looking there were over 15 for $700-$900 on gunbroker. I was even the high bidder on one for $675 until 10 minutes before the auction ended when some guy swooped in and bid $800 so I dropped out. Not sure why but the prices have gone up apparently.

Gunbroker pisses me off sometimes. I honestly think the sellers have multiple accounts and bid on their own items to drive up the bids. I was bidding on a 610 in January and it was up to $1,100 when some new guy with no buying history came in and bid $1,500 out of nowhere. I know it was the seller with a different account trying to get me to bid one more time.

I'd rather have the witness limited with 15

Id rather have an M&P in 10mm, but we all know Smith and Wesson doesn't have the Cahonies to make one.

EDIT, and Id gladly pay well more than current M&P prices for one.
