So without ever knowing that it shipped, I got a call from the ffl. GT20 is in, fingers crossed Sig didn't destroy the finish on this one too. Pics later tonight.

Light was wrong so it came out looking odd. Durys apparently had to go through several guns until they found one that didn't have finish issues on the safety, trigger, or hammer. Aside from one machine mark on the end of the slide, this one is flawless.

Durys hasn't received any of the magazines, so my order for an extra mag is still in with no expected fulfillment date. We will see if sig actually approves the magazine rebate despite my receipt being past the date. Supposedly durys has emails from the VP of sig stating that they will honor any of the gt20 rebates that are filed.

This was also one of the nastiest stainless guns I have ever gotten. Tons of just dirt in there, not anti-corrosion, but just plain nastiness like they shot a couple boxes through it and then just tossed it in the box.

Mags do have a bit of an odd insertion feel. If you keep it moving it really doesn't take much force, but if you go slow and stop at the mag release, then it takes lots of force to make it past it.

I will say that the hunt ready one will be terrible for hunting if its safety is as loud as this ones. Massive click sound when its turned off.

Range report to follow sometime in the next week or two. I like the weight of it, but then again, I prefer shooting my 6" Dan wesson 357 which this is similar to so I get where some think it is crazy heavy.

Well it looks like the SAO ones have finally hit the streets. There are a bunch up on GB.

Cheapest one I saw on GB was at $905 with 6 hours to go. That isn't all that bad for a NIB 10mm.

Unfortunately more than I got right now.  >:(
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

I just had a used one pop up in state for trade for a 10mm 1911

I ain't spending that kind of money for a gun to take out in the weather and bush. If I am hunting 10mm, my $500 RIA is going!

Another couple hundred for a mid range red dot, and the cash to mill the slide or recut the sight slot so that it fits an adaptor, and you will be close to a grand on that rock island. Heck if you get the trijicon, you will be close to the $1350  I have seen a few sites list the hunt ready model for. (Even though it was out of stock) Id be willing to spend the difference to get one that has a warranty and didn't need mods to meet my wants. Plus I get higher quality items such as the barrel. My RIA is good, but the interior of that barrel is no where near the barrel on the sig. Heck the sig even has better chamber support.

Different strokes for different folks I guess, I get where you are coming from, just not my cup o tea  :P

Hey if he is going hunting, His Mechtech is going...
Who is he fooling.

The thing with 10mm is sometimes you find lightly used ones in gunstores at a good price.  Another one to keep my eyes open for.

The hawgs might be most unhappy if I do!

So I took it to the range and beat up the ole dueling tree.

First thing, I hope SIG didn't sight this thing at the factory cause if they did they need a new guy doing that. Rear sight was almost maxed out up. At 15 yards I had to aim at the target below the one I wanted to hit. A full 18". First pistol I've ever had that shot high out of the box. Turned the sight almost all the way down and it was right on.

Man 10mm out of a 5"  gun sure flings those wings around the tree. 100 rounds and not a single malfunction! I'm ready for the hunt ready model and the 4.4" now.

Sooo...I got a denial from sig sauer on the magazine rebate on the status that the receipt was not during the promotion period despite their VP stating that all gt20's would be approved whether they fell in the timeframe or not. Hurray for sig's inability to follow up on commitments.

I just...wow. Sig...just...wow.

I think instead of downing the sig, we should all be tickled to death that at least someone has come out with a new 10MM. The 10MM could be dying like alot of other good cartriges.
