Ive owned several 10mm's over the years.....S&W 1006, Glock 20, Glock 29, Delta Elite. I will say the sig P220 Match Elite is BY FAR THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL. This thing has been beefed up substantially by Sig to withstand a LIFETIME of full power 10mm loads. It is perfect in fit, form and function and it just plain fits my hand better than even my 1911's do. I love the DA/SA firing system.

If you can afford it, GET ONE.  There is no compromise.
Only in capacity  ;D

Sorry... just had to add that, although reports are high for it  :D

They need a 227 version.

I'm not real sure an ally frame could take a 10mm pounding. They use a P220 frame because it is solid steel.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

If a polymer frame can handle it, why not an alloy frame?

The_Shadow

The poly matrix is flexible and has steel in key areas of wear and the alloy not so much, as to gain strength they become brittle, whereas if they are softer they will wear faster.   ::)

Aluminum is very susceptible to fatigue.  Steel and poly far, far less so.

No reason a 227 cannot be stainless steel entirely.

Except if it was, then it would be a P220.

Uhhh....The 227 is double stack.  So, no, it wouldn't be a P220, it would be a P-Too-Too-Awesome.

I just saw one in the wild at Cabela's. there weren't enough people working there to get in my hand.

Durys is starting to annoy me. First they have it in hand and will ship it two weeks ago Tuesday. They they shelv it with my name waiting for mags without saying anything. Now that they were supposed to ship it on the 29th whether it had extra mags or not I find out they gave mine to someone else and I have to wait till the next batch. Not good for a first purchase from them.

That's what I'm waiting on but durys keeps jerking me around.

So after no tracking number I call again today and they tell me mine has the same issue as another person where the finish on the safety is messed up. But they wouldn't bother telling me this until I call after giving me ship dates twice.

I'm pretty well sick of this crap. Sig needs to get their act together and durys needs to learn to communicate with their customers end of story.

Pretty annoyed with the way this has played out thus far. Very close to canceling my order. One more f-up and I'm done.
