I just bought a 6.8spc set up one black Friday and can't wait to get out and shoot. Anyone here shoot a 6.8spc? I am going to deer hunt with mine next yr.

One of my buddies has one, its his favorite caliber now. He has taken hogs out to 320 or so yards with it.
Its on my list of uppers to build for my colt.

I know a few out here who deer hunt with the 6.8 and have had no problems with 1 shot kills out to about 300yrds or so.

I've got a DPMS with Wilson trigger group, 10.5" SBR. I've had it quite sometime very fun accurate rifle ;D

Great choice for a hunting round in AR platform. Yes, should be gtg on deer sized game out to 300 yds.  There is lots of info on all things 6.8 over at 68Forums.com

I built a 12.5" SBR that I now run suppressed to stalk hogs at night.
Usually I try to get close (30-50 yds) but I took this one at 225 yds with a 120gr Hornady SST. One shot & he ran about 30 yds before taking the dirt nap.

68 forums is a great site for info. Nice rifles! I'm hoping to get out and do some shooting this weekend, 10mm and 6.8.

Been using a 6.8 for couple years or so.

My wife, daughter, brother and I have taken hogs, Axis and white tail using the 120sst powered with 2200 out to 250 yds with one shot DRT kills.

I use a 16" Wilson Combat Lightweight Hunter Barrel and topped off with a VXR 1.25-4 with the Hog Plex reticle scope.

PS: 6.8 forum is a great place.

I think you will enjoy your 6.8. I built one two years ago and love. It's nice that ammo availability is (slowly) increasing.

Yup built one up love the gun accurate low recoil and I shot several deer with it very effective I come to like the Accubond for shooting and its terminal performance.

I love shooting my 6.8's. I have four of them, one 16" and 3 - 24" ARs. My second favorite caliber. One of my 24" guns is balls on dead accurate up to 400 yards the others MOA at best. Hand loading is tricky because accuracy is only acceived only at the top end of the load range. Great target guns ,with plenty of power !

The Axis are free-ranging in Stonewall, Texas and I shot this 205lb Axis buck on my buddy's farm. Herd of 200 plus eating on his wheat so we took a total of eight which I shot four of and this big boy jump up and only 75 yds away.

Cool front passed through this Thursday and dropped the temps in the low 60's.

I used the 6.8 loaded with 120 SST's:

Very nice! Don't know much about Axis but man that one looks big. Seems like I heard they are excellent eating too.

Mostly I buy ammo but now I have all the dies and even a go/no go cartridge checker. Will be reloading soon. That said some good news there are some increasing amount of  good deals and ammo flavors. The increased popularity is great for the caliber.  I say join the crowd.
