You guys that shoot this round, do you load your own or buy factory.  I havee been thinking about building an AR gor this.

Mostly I buy ammo but now I have all the dies and even a go/no go cartridge checker. Will be reloading soon. That said some good news there are some increasing amount of  good deals and ammo flavors. The increased popularity is great for the caliber.  I say join the crowd.

I used factory Hornady 120sst to start with and a baseline.

Now I reload using:

Powder: 2200 @ 27grains
Bullet: 120 sst
Brass: Hornady small primer
Primer: CCI 41
O.A.L: 2.295"

PS: 6.8 forum is the place to learn about the 6.8.

I have an unopened, still-in-the-shrinkwrap set of Hornady dies and an unopened box of Midway, 130 gr. psp Core-Lokt .270 bullets.....I have absolutely NO idea where or why I bought them....don't own/shoot or know anyone who does, a 6.8.   :-[

The first $65 will get them shipped to you.
