S&W 610 prices are out of control

If I had my way, I would want S&W to manufacture a new Model 610 with an 8 1/2" barrel, unfluted cylinder and no lock. This would arrange for the cartridge to reach peak pressure (and velocity) while taming the  recoil.

Let's face it, when you can generate 1350 fps using a 200 grain JHP, 809 fpe is nothing to sneeze at! This is more than enough power to harvest deer at reasonable ranges.

I always wondered why, Colt never tried chambering the 10mm in their Anaconda.  Since these were available in .44 Magnum, and .45 Colt cartridge.  An 8" inch version would have been awesome in 10mm.  They were produced from 1990 to 1999, and for few years as 'custom shop' items.  Nice to think, what could have been.

Excellent idea! I would have liked to see this development during the day. While they are reproducing the Model 1903 (in .32 ACP) the Anacaona in 10mm Auto would sell better. (I wish I had thought of it.).
