Are the new Deltas sturdier than the originals? I noticed that Buffalo Bore says not to use their hottest 10mm in Deltas.

I don't think it's a question of durability so much as chamber support. Unless they've completely redesigned the chamber to allow more support for the brass, I would think it wouldn't matter which generation you use. That's the problem with chambers that have little/no ramp  ???

I think the question surrounds the frame cracking issues some of the early delta's suffered.  they would crack in the frame rails above the cut out for the slide stop.

The issue was a stress zone created by the squared corners of the slide stop cut-out.  The frame was plenty strong, and in fact Colt resolved the issue by removing the material in question.  This removed the stress corner and fixed the issue going forward.

A 1911 frame will handle the 10mm just fine.

HiVel

My Colt Delta is NIB early this year. Paid about $900 for it. It seems to like to spit cases straight back in my face on certain types of ammo. (no reloads yet). These are the aluminum case rounds. Blazer 200gr , TMJ. Other stuff doesn't do this.
the Colt is absolutely stock.  These newer Colts are supposed to be somewhat improved over the older ones. I see where  Taffin is blazing away with some pretty hot ammo and no reported problems.

I know , the answer is don't shoot the Blazer , or if you do  wear a full coverage motorcycle helmet.
My other 10mm pistols,  a Kimber 1911, does not do this ,nor my Glocks.  My S&W revolvers don't do it either.(HA! joke)
I guess it is OK but I have  a lot of this ammo -so there you go. Any ideas??

Blazers run fine out of my new Delta.

Underwood also advises against using their 10mm loads in anything without a supported chamber (specifically Delta Elites) because of "complete lack of chamber support" so keep that in mind if you're thinking of running higher-impulse ammunition. They down-load some offerings that they designated as "Delta Elite loads" for guns with unsupported chambers.

I don't think you'll have a problem with any frame damage/cracking with a newer production gun, though; like sqlbullet mentioned earlier: the frames of the earliest Deltas produced had an issue with cracking in the slide rails because of their inability to flex during recoil but that was quickly identified and remedied by removing the extra material thus making the frames more similar to a standard 1911 frame.

Blazers are pretty light loads.  Run fine, but don't really develop  a bunch of pressure.

The Blazers run the same at the Hornady 200's I run and they are cheaper per round. I think both are rated at 1050

I have fired those new Trophy 10MMs and they worked fine too.

Finally for some Buffalo Bore 180s but will not be able to shoot those until it comes back from Colt Custom.
