Does anyone remember when Marlin made these? They were awesome! This is what I need in 10mm!

Who else would buy one in 10mm?

Ruger made something similar. Ruger PC9 or PC40. Don't know if they had a .45 version. I don't think they did.

Both the Ruger and Marlin (I prefer the Marlin) had a good thing going with these rifles. If I shot 9/40/45 I'd own one of these for sure.

The firearms industry needs to get their shit together and start "puttin' out" for us .10mm boys!

I would freakin' love a camp rifle that took G20 mags!

I have worked on the Marlin Camp rifle 45 ACP cal, great little gun.  The weakness over time is the recoil buffer which can deteriorate.  A close friend's one did just that.  I cleaned it up, found some new and improved buffers which I installed, repaired a bent spring and also instaled a folding Choate stock for him.  I also repaired the original cracked wooden stock.

They would be a good little gun in 10mm, and I did write Marlin about the possibility of producing one to which they said NO!  Now Marlin in combined with Remington, DPMS, BushMaster and a few other companies...Many are calling it RemLin these days.  Some have seen some garbage guns coming for them lately.

The more I think about the 10mm Carbine I think I'll go with the Olympic Arms "Lego Model"  AR K10 10mm.

I don't like the "tacticool" stuff as much as I once did. Marlins can be had for less than $500, same for the Ruger. Sure would be nice in 10mm, too bad we are the black sheep of the gun world.

Something you guys may not realize, is the .40 in a carbine (16" barrel) can produce almost identical ballistics to a longslide 10mm... Granted, you'd get more power out of a 10mm in the same carbine, but the .40 does quite well with the longer barrel; especially if you reload.

I've considered one of those Ruger PC4's myself, but have the Keltec Sub2000 in .40 for now. Not "high quality" by any means, but the ballistics are impressive for something only marginally heavier than most big bore revolvers.

My philosophy, keep the number of different calibers down, keep the interchangability up!

As it is now, the only ammo I need to keep on hand is: .22LR, .38, 10mm, 20ga, 12ga. I've worked hard at getting my ammo down to only this.

I want to get rid of the .38, but my G20 doesn't fit into my shorts pockets!

Great philosophy, until you find yourself trying to keep your ammo separated for use in different guns, or just loading it to the lowest common denominator. More an issue in rifles, but still a factor in the 10mm. If you're not at that level in your handloading though, or just using factory ammo, it works out fine.

If you really want a 10mm carbine, just get it over with and buy a MechTech. Don't waste your time trying to convert some obsolete gun like the Camp 45 that you'll be struggling to find parts for.

I have a Camp 9 and a Camp 45 Accurate and light, great idea, should have lasted longer. I would buy one in 10MM

Most of the 40 carbines I have seen are based on longer actions.  Usually at least 45 acp length, often something that will handle 357 mag or 44 mag length rounds, if not intermediate rifle rounds like 223.

If that is the base gun, a simple ream will make it a 10mm.  Easy breezy.
