I managed to finally get the big one today... Pileated Male!

Hairy Male

Downy Female

We had a Red Bellied yesterday and it got away before I could get my camera.

The big one is a pileated woodpecker I believe. They're calls sound like it belongs in a jungle. I was hunting in a climbing stand and a pair landed in my tree and went to work, reminded me of gunning with a Browning 50 cal. machine gun  :o

I'm hoping the Wild Turkeys show up at some point! I think we have about had everything from Fox, Hawks, Barred Owls and everything between so far. Next Spring and Summer will be interesting!

Nice photos.

Woodpeckers are rare out west, compared to the East and Midwest. Have hear them pecking a few times over the years walking the woods.

I haven't seen a Snake yet. My Wife saw a Black Snake and I found a skin. I'm fine with that!

Have you guys ever seen a Black Squirrel?

Fox squirrels. They are larger than regular Grays and usually live off of pine cones. They come in a variety of colors.

My Female Downy was back at the Suet this evening and I think I finally got a decent video!

I'm home today (Thank you goes out to the Veterans) and the Pileated is back killing a tree!!

I'm pretty far away and it still looks like one darn HUGE Woodpecker!

The Red Bellied finally visited the deck and I didn't get good shots  :(

Nice photos IC. We have Pileateds here in Middle GA. Like McQuade mentioned Fox Squirrels can be several colors and/or mixed. Rarer and rarer are they seen around here these days. Around Cashiers, NC you sometimes see some white squirrels, not albino. I forget their natural habitat, some were released there many years ago.

Someone please help me with these camera settings! I had Mr.Buck stop by this evening (1st visit I have caught him) and I managed to get crappy pictures again. It seems I just can't find the settings to get the good pictures! Here he is... about an 8 pointer that went into the clearing as a Doe played behind my shed.

I'd stuck an arrow in that thing so fast!  We'd be eating back straps and making sausage before rigor mortis set in!   ;D
Bon appetite!
