Anybody do one?

Looking to do a .357 sig, any thoughts?

The slide is set for the casing head already so it should be fairly straight forward...find a barrel to fit.  But hey I'm not the 1911 guy!  ::)

Seems to be a straight forward deal. As with any "Match" 1911 drop in barrel, you may need someone knowledgeable in timing and tuning a 1911 to get it to fit, yet on the flip side, you could get lucky and it just drops straight in. Depends more on how tight/loose the tolerances of your 1911 are.

With the lack of availability of .357sig in my area, I would be more inclined to go with the 9x25 Dillon personally. I will need to reload for both, so I would rather stay with a round that will not be an issue length wise in my magazine.
It's my DiMMe

If I go that route I will send the gun in for a fitting.

Like the Dillon, but no one carries it in NY and I cannot get it mailed. (Can but it goes to a FFL for a fee)

I have the 357 sig conversion with my G29 and its a good round and I find the ammo at the local Wal Mart. More expensive than 10mm.

First thing's first; a Barrel does not need to go thru an FFL, it's a Part, not a Receiver
If you can't find the .357 SIG Barrel, you can buy a 9mm or .38 Super and have it reamed to .357 SIG
Brownell's (for one) sells Pre-Fit / Drop-in Barrels and "Need / Easy Fit" Barrels
http://www.brownells.com/search/index.htm?k=1911+barrels&ksubmit=y
I've hand fit 1911 Barrels, and it just takes time and a bit of patience
THEN, you need to find the right Recoil Spring to keep in all together
OH, and you'll need to get 40S&W, 1911 Mags
OR, just go with the 9 Dillon   8)
Hope this helps
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !
