I am partial to Gunblast.com, though, iraqveteran1988 has entertainment value as well as good information on Mil Surplus gunsmithing.

What do you like?

Not real sure I trust ANY online reviewers. I can't recall any single time I've heard a review and they had basically do not buy this gun! Too much money to be made by a good review.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

+1 on Gunblast & Iraqveteran1988

Firearms:
Hickok 45 my favorite (How can you not like this guy?  He shoots every damn thing he picks up really well).
Honorable Mention:
Mrgunsngear
Military Arms Channel
fpsrussia

Ammo:
shootingthebull410
tnoutdoors9
Raggedyman
pocketgunsandgear
scubaoz

These are some I find interesting; everyone here certainly entitled to their own opinion.

I tend toward the truth about guns, primarily because they tend to be very open about their methodology and data, allowing me to derive my own conclusions if I wish.

I have learned over the years to read between the lines a bit.  No comments on accuracy, probably didn't perform well.  Didn't say it was a no-stoppage test, they had stoppages.  I kinda have a mental checklist I go through when I read an article, and if they don't comment on major items, then I get the picture.

I watch many of their videos, but when they are being sent stuff  :-X

Jeff Quinn (Gunblast) has some amazing connections.  He's a pretty normal guy and I like to see his opinions.  As far as free stuff, that's mostly not the case.  Generally, you go through the manufacturer's media company and make a request.  They send the gun to your FFL.  Before the loan program is up, you either send it back or buy it for the media price which is about 60% of MSRP or about 80% of gun shop price.

I write for a smaller outfit.  I pay for my own ammo and transfer fee.  If I know it's something I want, I just buy it up front for retail so I can live with myself.  I'm sure the bigger outfits pay a lot more, but I am allowed to write reviews "warts and all."

No love for Nutnfancy?

Sense you asked.  I try to watch his work sometimes cause he really does cool stuff but his reviews are often sooo long and his general cockiness make him hard to take for the length of his review sometimes.

The biggest problem is they are going to send you their best. It most likely will be tested over to the teeth before sending it to the end reviewer. With Hickok he has been getting a ton of free ammo, etc... lately. I still think he puts the good and bad out for the most part.

TN wouldn't accept ammo from me or anyone else. He pays for everything in his videos and I admire that.

tnoutdoors9 is one of the few I trust.  He seems like an honest man and he always discloses if the ammo was sent to him or he purchased it himself.  I doubt he would make those kinds of statements and at the same time make direct comparisons to other ammo he has previously reviewed.  Plus, there are times that I recall him being critical when the ammo does not make the stated velocity on the box or performs crappy in his gel tests.

Ammotest is another great ammo reviewer and he is a member on this forum.  His videos are embedded by Kevin on the Underwood ammo site.

I always enjoy Iraqveteran8888 videos, whether reviews or just well, videos.

One thing I like about the about Youtubers and others are when they clearly state "this is my opinion", "you need to try out lots of ammo and also use what works best in your firearm and you as the shooter", etc.  I always pick up on the promotion of items and that turns me away.

Jon

Jeff Quinn (Gunblast.com), if I understood his response, stated that he won't bother finishing a review on a gun he doesn't like. I have also noticed he will tell you if he had a problem with a specific ammo in what he shot.

As to "Trust" that was not in the criteria. Personally, I never trust gun reviews in the first couple of years a product has been out. That is regardless of Print/TV/Social Media/YouTube etc. BTW, that goes for ANY product.

Very Rarely does a Firearms Manufacturer proved a "Social Media" type of reviewer a product to test directly. There is a LOT of paperwork involved in transferring the firearm back and forth. Now, there are occasions where some of the "Social Media" reviewers are invited to events, but that is different, and I never ever take any comments on how a firearms functions away from one of those reviews.

I personally don't like anyone I don't trust, so those are the ones I like.   ;D There are others of course, just aren't coming to mind right now.
