Canik TP-9 today at the range

  I snapped a few photos and gave it a good going over. Felt great to the hand and would be great if they did one in 10mm. I would buy it for sure!

I have heard some good reports on those little 9's and I have considered getting me one.

- Changeable back-straps
- Adjustable rear sight (no elevation)
- Low profile controls that are tight to the frame
- De-cocker is on the top of the slide and flush with it's surface. Pushing down de-cocks the pistol.
- The DA trigger is a two-step setup. First click must cock it (easy pull) and from there you pull it the rest of the way back just like a standard SA pull.

$299 and comes in a nice case with some belt mag holders and two magazines. It also has a rail and would make a great carry piece IMO.

I couldn't get a great picture of the recoil spring but it looked unique being flat on the edges of the coils for nice stacking.

It was throwing the brass out nicely in a small loop to the right about 5'-6'.

Turks putting out decent pistols. I like the Tri Star as well. CZ variant in 9mm and .40.
