Title wasn't "Good outcome" since the whole thing should not have happened in the first place.

Somehow, New Jersey saw that a law abiding U.S. citizen with a gun doesn't deserve three years in prison for crossing an imaginary line in this country.

This woman ( http://libertyandprosperity.org/liberty-and-prosperity-members-join-rally-to-support-shaneen-allen/ ) has been given a "pretrial intervention" that avoids NJ's mandatory sentencing if she were found guilty.

Good news for her. But, it's still New Jersey where that imaginary line abrogates the Constitution. This is probably more about hopes for presidential elections than acknowledgment of the highest law of the land.

I was glad to hear she was given PTI. Every real criminal arrested in NJ is permittted to enter the PTI program. This woman made an honest mistake and should not have been penalized harshly for it.

Yeah well...this is New Jersey after all.

Glad it worked out for her though.

Chose to traverse that Northeast corridor nearly a decade ago when my youngest wanted to see D.C. and NYC. Driving through D.C., Maryland, New Jersey and New York was like being in other country as far as human rights are concerned.
