better than one!  This afternoon I picked up the Match.  Got it home and did a quick field strip and some lube.  I won't be able to shoot it until next week though :(  Got plenty of 10's loaded, but too much yard work to get caught up on first.  Too late to do any comparisons to the LTD Pro, will have to wait until tomorrow or so.

Here's a not so glamorous picture after getting it's rub down:

Nice! Range report please..

Hopefully a range report by mid-week, sooner if time allows.  Long live the 10!

This cotton picking forum may be the death of my wallet yet.  I'm thinking that I need a 38 Super and perhaps a 9mm.  Like the 45 ACP too, one of those would be nice.  Can't leave out the 40 S&W, after all it's a fun cartridge to shoot too.  Then there's the Stock I and II, there's something that I like about each of them.  The LTD Elite and Hunter would be nice too.  Oh, and let's not forget the Gold Team, ooohhh the Gold Team.

Monday I got a chance to dash out to the range and try out the new Match.  As I was doing some other shooting I only had time to run 56 rounds through it.  The only factory ammo shot was Georgia Arms 18o grain FMJ.  My reloads consisted of the Zero 200 grain FMJ and Montana Gold 180 grain JHP.  Rounds were fired through 5 different K-10 magazines.  No malfunctions or other unpleasant surprises were encountered.  As this pistol is still box stock none of the rounds fired exceeded 1200 fps.

I have fired the above ammo in my Elite Pro and so far the Pro shot each load a little better than the Match.  But I know that my eyes and aging hands may have affected Monday's shooting too.

Once again I was surprised how well the Witness line handles the recoil of the 10mm.  Just seems a little softer to the hands than when fired in the 1911 format.

I need to order some of Henning's parts for the Match, will do so soon.

I still have some thoughts that I need to add comparing the Match to the Pro, will do so soon.

Good report! Interesting the Match didn't seem to do as well as the Pro.

You started this  ;D

Now don't forget to add two of these to your collection  :o

Very nice gentleman very nice. Thinking I might need one of those, in the 10 mm or possibly 357 sig. Back in the 1990s when I dabbled in IPSC, a lot of the shooters used the witness in 38 super. That's kind of died out in this area so I haven't seen a witness in action four quite a while. They did have a 10 mm Hunter version at one of the gun shops abut six months ago. This may sound dumb but does the witness have a fully supported chamber as the Kimber does or is it more like the cold Delta? The fit and finish looks very nice on your guns. I may have to go back down and look at that Hunter. I would have to sell my HK 45 US P tactical kit which I don't use just sits in the safe. Something to consider!

Full support ramped barrel on all of them. You would probably need a custom barrel made to shoot .357 Sig out of one.

sqlbullet

Easily done though.  Grab a 10mm version, get a 38 super barrel and have it fit and reamed.

I already have a severe 1911 addition, and yes, I think that the Witness bug has bitten me too.
