Just purchased a G20 and I am excited. I have wanted a 10mm for a while. Anyways I have done some research on different bullets because this will be my woods gun and when I can take a deer with it I will. To the questions, I bought some Speer 165gr BHP. This is just to sight in the gun and get some bullets through it.

What is the difference in bonded hollow points and jacketed hollow points? The bonded would be better for deer wouldn't they? Also I want to purchase the 6 inch hunting barrel, can I shoot lead out of it?

Bonded will be less likely to separate the jacket from the core.
It's my DiMMe

You are definitely GTG with lead and an aftermarket barrel.

If you know how to slug your bore, then I would say you are an experienced enough caster to just use the factory barrel.  I run lots of lead through my G29.

The issue is the barrels are big.  Mine slugged about .402"  That means I need a .403" slug.  That .401" stuff they sell at the BGS will lead my glock.  But my cast bullets leave the bore shiny and fresh.

Well I cleaned the gun and took it out to shoot. Shot about 40 rounds of the 165 BHP, 10 rounds of armscor 180 FMJ, 6 rounds of Hornady XTP AND 10 rounds of Hornady 175 Flex tip which grouped better than the xtp. The 165 grain BHP grouped the best granted it was about an inch high and 2-2.5 inches to the right. Those bullets at 1300fps were moving. I did not load the magazines all the way to see if my slide would lock open with one round left like I have read about. So far so good.
