Para Ordnance Elite Hunter

Just looking for information about the Para 10mm Hunter. Anyone out in the 10mm world using them? Are they reliable. Should I go with a EAA Witness Hunter? Just looking for info.

Are you hunting with it? The EAA Hunter can be used with a large glove and has more capacity.

Yes the pistol would be used primarily for hunting here in Wisconsin, where we the crazy 5.5" barrel rule. I have heard that customer service at EAA is almost non existent, which scares me a little. But I have not read or heard much about the reliability of the Para Ordnance. I like the fact that EAA is optics ready, and the Para would have to be set up by a gunsmith. Just a hard decision. I was also thinking of a Glock 20  and getting a longer barrel. Tough decision, so I am looking for advice.

The standard Witness line can be spotty.

The Hunter and Elite lines are pretty solid though.  And they seem to enjoy a bit better CS too.

The Hunter is one solid piece. I'm bias on the EAA pieces and would still get it over the Para.

I like my Para Ls Hunter, its been a good pistol.... I also like and intend to get a Witness in 10mm ( have had a .45 Witness for years, wonderful piece)

Have you handled either of them yet? If you can lay hands on one or he other it may help your decison...

For what its worth, my Para Hunter is my favorite pistol ive owned, or shot. Ever. If it was what I was stuck with, Id not shed a tear over it..... But thats me.

Capacity? How many rounds do you need to blast through the woods to drop a deer. If you have a high quality weapon with superb accuracy, excellent ergonomics and pointability, and made with pride in the good 'ol USA, it would only take 1. But then again, I've only shot a couple of possums, a coon, and a couple of domestic predators with mine (small game) Seriously though, the Para or Tanfoglio would serve anyone well for hunting. But if you buy a tangfoglio you'd get cold in the woods wearing a skimpy ass mini skirt.

I don't know, sometimes being only able to take down 8 feral pigs before a reload gets a little frustrating when there are 16 in their rabbit breeding pack...
