Will never happen. The Sig fanboys would wet their panties if they ever shot a real mans cartridge.  :P

P220 is a nice weapon. If this is true it will be great.

falls just behind the 10mm.    Great cartridge outside of the 10mm

I have a P220 and it's a great shooting gun, the only thing I don't like about it is the lack of ammo capacity (7+1)....

That's the capacity of it's single stack magazine, it's not a state law....

If it comes to be, this is great news for the 10mm.

Capacity should be either 8+1 or 9+1. One can load more .40 rounds than .45. (I run 9+1 in my 10mm 1911)

Sig's are very nice guns. My first carry piece was a Sig P229 in .40S&W. Liked the quality, the grip and it's precision. By training to focus on the sight picture rather than the trigger transition, the DA/SA is no problem. In a thin Kydex holster, the rig is much easier to conceal than a Glock.

When I decided to switch to 10mm, was considering to either buying a Grayguns 10mm P220 or have a 1911 built. If Sig had this available and it could handle 10mm loads, I might have gone that way since I had so much training with the Sig.

From the good folks over on SigForum.  I for one am very excited for this. P220 is a proven platform.

Hoping to see more 10mm offerings like this at the up-coming Shot Show    8)
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

Do you think any of the departments will switch over to it?

i think it would be a tough sale...consider the price of ammo.  Can buy 2- 9mm for a 10, my dept use to go thru a lot of ammo for training....

Not to mentione the latest FBI report re 9mm is better than 40 and 45 with new tech bullets AND shot placement most important. ( and number of rounds too... heck the report supports hi cap mags! )

Never owned a Sig, but I believe that I'll have to pick up one of these when they come out.

Here are a couple of videos to see what we are looking at. These are getting me more excited than I thought:

It looks solid and that spring is very interesting plus unique! If they offer a high capacity extension mag like in the .45ACP this would be a plus.

All the controls are on the left though and doesn't look like any ambi options. I could see this with a Hogue finger groove fitting like a glove.

Is anyone here a member of that Sig board? Can you ask if they plan on doing an extended 10mm magazine? If it held 10+ rounds I think this is a win!
