I doubt if Para would have posted that if it wasn't true.  I have a P220 in .45 ACP with night sights, and it is my bedside gun and an occasional range gun.  DA/SA is not my first choice, but I had to have at least one Sig.  When I chose it, I shot it alongside a Glock 21.  They were so close in feel and looks that I decided on the Sig because I liked the sleek look of the P220 in my hands vs the blocky look of the Glock.  However, I prefer striker fired, and Glock was my only choice in 10mm.  It was just a decision between the G20, G20 SF, G29, and the G20 Gen4, which is what I got.  Shot it for the first time today.  What a blast.  Sig is slow coming to the 10mm platform, but they will sell well, cause they will be Sigs.

Yay we will have sig 10mm fan boys.  Then even better ammo will come out! (More demand)

How does the 220 compare to the others and any idea the expected lbs on the trigger pulls? So this would be a carry piece? I'm fond of SA only for a range piece.

Guys that have Sig P220's rave about them.  I have always just kept walking as a one pistol caliber kinda guy.  Guess I will be visiting a gun store this weekend and checking out a P220.  And warning the wife that a gun purchase is GOING to happen.

I have a 220 in 45acp in DA/SA.   Trigger pull is a bit long with the first shot and comes in at hair over 9.5lbs ( as per my spring scale ). Pull is smooth but long. The SA comes in at 4.5lbs and is without catches, nice crisp letgo ( it took about 250 rounds to smooth out ).
I find it is more accurate than the colt 1911 series 70 I had...but that may just be how it fits me. ( carried a 226 for 20yrs+ and it feels similar )

I will def buy one, I have the glock cause they didn't offer a 10mm.

I have always heard good things about reset too.  Smooth and sharp between shots.

Even better news if this becomes a reality:

QuoteThe P227 will also accept any slide assembly from the P220. This means a regular-sized P227 Nitron® can be turned into a Carry, SAS™, Stainless or Super Match just by swapping top ends.

I read this to say I can buy a P220 10mm, a P227, and swap the top ends and have a double stack 10mm Sig, after tweaking some feed lips.

S/A trigger pull on my P220 is 5 pounds.  Heavier than I thought.  Didn't know much about trigger scales when I bought mine as it only goes up to 8 pounds.  D/A on the P220 is off the scale, so I can only guess that it is around 10 pounds.  For me, the P220 is far too big and heavy for anything but a range gun and a bedside gun.

I haven't shot it much since I bought a 1911 which has a much nicer trigger.

My 220 is a duty gun. The 10mm will be a nice fit. A tank frame. Now CZ, get it together.

Intercooler

Single stack? Seems like the Witness DA/SA is still s better option based on the trigger pull.

pacapcop

Single stack yes on 220.But, The Sig slide is already heavy duty.

Also keep in mind. The Sig is more designed as a preferred carry piece.

I have always wanted to be a Sig fan.  I like the look of the Sig guns.  But lacking a 10mm I never really paid them much mind.

I am so doing the happy dance at this news.
