Hi everybody.

I have always been enamored of the 10mm. I haven't, however, liked most of the guns that were offered in 10. Well, Glocks and 1911's anyway. I do luv my 9mm CZ clone though. I would like to see what happens with the SARs new importer. If the K2 starts coming in in 10mm I'd definitely grab one of them.

If I get tired of waiting for the K2 I would most likely get a Witness. Question. If I got a new Witness 10mm from Bud's would it be one without the "old" problems? Are the Elite Match pistols really worth the difference in price? I will probably get a, "gasp" :o .40 S&W for practice cause I can't see having a 10mm for shooting anything other than full house loads.

We need a nice write-up made into a sticky for the Witness line and Glock line.

Da/Sa Fan, Welcome to the forum!  If you like the CZ's then the EAA will suit your needs, yes the upper end guns are worth the cost for what they bring to the mix.  Don't wait on the SAR's K2 10mm, EAA has stated to say they were not going to import them, back when I inquired early on.  Will that change?  You are free to inquire again to see what they say... :-\

The nice thing about the 10mm guns is that some will just drop in a barrel for the 40S&W and 357Sig, that makes it nice to experience other cartridges...

I'm sure you will hear for the guys on here about the EAA guns and what to expect out of those...

Best regards!  :D

EAA is not going to be importing the SAR line anymore. Task Firearms will be taking over shortly. Don't know if the 10mm will be offered or when if it is, but I think it might be worth a little bit of a wait for me to find out.

OK, so the Match Elite is worth the difference. What about the Stock I? I kinda like the DA/SA option but nearly double the price? What does it bring to the table that the standard full size Witness doesn't? I don't mind having an accurate gun, but I'm not getting into competitive shooting. I'll most likely carry it in cool weather and use it as a nightstand gun. Like I said above, only Norma strength loads once I start hand loading.

Da/Sa Fan...When I sent an inquiry to EAA (early when they first announced the SAR lineup), it was specific to the SAR K2 10mm and it was just that gun that they said they were not going to import at that time.  ???   It would be nice if someone actually started to import the SAR K2 our favorite 10mm chambering.  8)

The Stock I is my favorite spec wise and next on my list of EAA guns to acquire.  There are a bunch of upgrades and it is really the equivalent of a Springfield Custom shop or S&W performance center gun.

I am hoping to secure a test Witness at the upcoming SHOT show.
