I've received my new Nighthawk 10mm Long Slide,  I hope to get it to the range in the next day or two.  I will run a variety of factory ammo through it and a couple of reloads too.  Over the years this is the third time that I have been bitten by the 10mm bug, and I've been bitten bad!

Here's the new 10

I went Fusion Firearms for a 6" longslide instead. But I am very happy with it. Just added a third 10mm to the old collection. Got an RIA Tac II to keep up practice with my 10mm's, and not wear out the expensive ones. (Other 10mm is a Dan Wesson Razorback, my 1st 10mm)
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

I always liked how that model looked, very classy!

Super nice!

I myself have a Fusion 6" long slide and love it. I'm sure you will love yours. Heinie has always been a 10mm supporter and shooter.

Great pistol!!

A couple of days ago I took the Long Slide out for it's first range trip  I ran 117 rounds through it, a mixture of factory loads and my reloads.  It was a lot of fun shooting it but it appears that it's going to be magazine sensitive.  Would not run with my standby Tripp mags at all.  It didn't matter which ammo was tried in the Tripp's, they just would not function.  One Wilson mag was fine, would not run with the other one.  But it did run fine with the two mags that came with it.

This is a tightly fit pistol, so some break-in is to be expected.  I'll get it back to the range next week and give it another go.

Pretty much the same thing happened the first time I took my new Taurus 1911 out. It had one magazine that just refused to work in it. But it was a cheap no name magazine, not an expensive one. Oh well, it works in my Springfield Armory 1911.

Work of art.
I think this is the  model  that is mentioned  in October  field  and stream  as
4  sidearms  to take hunting.

Some days it's just good to be lucky; rather than just good looking!
