I bought my wife a Glock 23 for her first semi-auto. She likes the grip better on the G23 than her Sp101. I was looking to this DoubleTap load and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with it. Was about to order some BB 200gr hard cast but there is a warning not to use in glock 40S&W due to the lack of case support.

What BB load?

This one is listed as specifically just fine for Glock.

In fact I can't find a 200 grain 40 S&W load from BB in their +P rating.

You are correct I was looking at the 180FMJ load disclaimer and that is was the "Outdoorsman" 200gr HC load

Yep...Grab that 200 grain load and enjoy.

I found the Doubletap 200gr hard cast load local so went with that. Would someone here want to test velocity and do a pull down? I would be willing to donate some of the ammo to see the results

I'm pretty sure we did that one and it's on the sheet.

PBR should have their 200's next week.

I know there is the 10mm load on the sheet but didn't see the 40s&w load

The trick is going to be finding someone on a 10mm forum that owns a 40 short and weak. :P

Do you have any idea what velocity they will be loading them at?

MT10mm, I could do the pull-down and velocity test, especially that the weather is starting to change.  I'll PM you shortly...

The Pull-Down for the DT round sent by MT10mm is done.  It is the last one in the 40S&W lineup.

There was no surprise here, DT was using LongShot powder, 6.2 grains behind the 200 grain WNFP GC hard cast.  Looking through the Hodgdon manual it shows this is 0.2 grains over the book listed load for a Hornady 200XTP.
The Hornady 200 XTP over 6.0 @ 954 fps is shown at 32,500 psi.

The empty case he sent in addition to the two loaded rounds showed a very slight "SMILE" expansion line.
Case expansion at the "SMILE" area 0.4360" with a smooth bulge all the way around @ 0.4350"
To me this is a Glock factory barrel based on that amount of expansion.

I don't know his exact setup and gun he fired it from? ???

It was fired from a 100% factory Glock 23. This ammo did feel a little stout vs the other ammo I was shooting.
