  I checked the 180's today and they had XTP bullets.  Guess components are getting easier to come by. The ammo stash was full except .22.

The 22 LRs are still elusive but some can still be found at times and some like the Academy are selling Eley/Aguila at 6.99 for a box of 50...BTW our Academy started handling primers (CCI, Winchester, Tulammo) no word on if they will handle powders.  They did have some handloading press and dies on the shelf.  Wal-Mart's shelves are almost full of ammo of all calibers, except the 22's, the morning crews still buy up the supplies when they unload the truck. 

As far as the 22 LR's I'll hold out for the bulk stuff when things slow way down.

IC, are you certain those were XTP's? The reason I ask is because I had purchased the same BB load a while back. The bullets looked a lot like XTP's but were found to be slightly different when compared to the actual XTP bullet.

I think there was a thread here a while back on it.

I think this proves Buffalo Bore is using XTP's now.

If not they are using a bullet that has gone to great lengths to look exactly like an XTP on the outside.

The jacket cuts are shorter on the Beffalo Bore version. I would like to think they are using XTP but I think they are a copy. I went through the same thing when I bought them a while back. I even emailed Tim Sundles for information on the make of bullet and the velocity. He got back to me with the penetration data but wouldn't give up the bullet manufacture.

I do not know the hardness of the core material or the jacket material nor
do I know the thickness of said jacket material (all of that matters) but
you'll get roughly 15 inches of penetration in 10% ordnance gel.. With
variables of exact impact velocity, bones that may be hit and amount of
outer clothing that must be penetrated, You could get anywhere from 12 to 16
inches of penetration in living flesh and bone.

  I got something similar from him after he kind of gave me the "lucky to have any bullets for 10mm" line. In my opinion Buffalo Bore is way to sketchy on "what's in the box". Their 10mm product line is falling in the Doubletap mold and probably why they have thinned out the offerings. With the emergence of some similar performing and better priced options, my bet is they don't sell much 10mm. I can't see myself purchasing anything 10mm they have to offer after completing the testing.
   Just my opinion and I have told Kevin he is missing out big by not putting out some all copper HP's. If PBR rolls out a 155gr

I don't think they're XTP projectiles; I am leaning toward Montana Gold.

If you look very closely inside the hollow point you'll note subtle differences:

Buffalo Bore - Near the mouth, where the brass and lead blend; look closely and think you'll see where the brass is "folded" along the inside perimeter of the mouth.

I've seen that feature on Montana Gold but never before on XTP. 
Combined with a bit evasive reply (my opinion) by Mr. Sundles  to a direct question about make of bullet.  He fails to give direct answer to primary question about bullet make, but goes into a little length about core & jacket, ballistic gel penetration depth, bone, clothing, flesh.

Fair enough.

However, Montana Gold & Zero JHPs appear to share similar brass fold along the inside mouth as the photo of the Buffalo Bore projectile IMHO.
