Even more controlled expansion than the current batch of 200gr jhp?

Any way we can beg hornady to make a 200gr jhp or for kicks make it a 205 or 210gr that wont expand as much as the current 200gr xtp?

Is it possible to resize a .41 mag bullet down? Id really like to have a JHP that has the speed of an underwood 200gr xtp load but expands less.  From what ive seen the 200gr nosler is not any better and sheds weight.

The problem isn't too much expansion with the Hornady 200XTP most I measured were only 0.670" (recovered from deer) but they tend to shed small pieces.  The same bullet in a bonded configuration might help the shedding issue.

The total length of the XTP is about as long as I would want, any longer and you loose powder capacity space.

Bonding would certainly help but its a whole new bullet design at that point.  The trophy bonded federal load looks great but id really like another 20 grains.

You might want to hammer a BB inside the XTP hollow cavity or fill it with RTV sealant, that will add some weight.  ::)

You could go the swift a frame route but to me is a waste of money.

Whats a swift a frame

The Swift A-Frame bullet has separate front and rear chambers with soft lead up front and hard lead at the rear, separated by a wall of jacket material and core-bonded to weld the jacket to the core. These bullets hold together and penetrate deep although don't think a 10mm or .40 cal projectile is produced.
