I decided this week to branch out into 10mm.  While making the rounds of all of the shops I frequent, I happened to find this yesterday:

S&W 1006 with very little wear on it at all.  No box or papers, but two mags.

I am still waiting on my order of Berry's 165 HBRN thick plate (made for 10mm velocities), so I whipped up some plinkers using a few 180 gr lead flat nose truncated cone bullets I cast last fall for my .40s.  I did a function check at the range today and she shot like a champ!!

I've passed up on two of those over the years and regret both.  I don't see them available too much anymore so I think you did good, looks new!

It is in tip top shape.  Some slight swirls in the finish...faint scratches, but the barrel, the rails, and the hammer face seem very unused.

The absolute best part is that I paid next to nothing for it.  There is a gun shop near my office and they don't negotiate on price at all, but sometimes they have great deals on used stuff.

That is super awesome!  Congrats!
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Sweet gun.  One of the best things about stainless is all those blemishes will polish right our, and then a quick bead blast and they look new.

I agree, I got it for a steal.  Anything under $900 is a good price on these guns.  I asked the guy at the shop what was wrong with it and his response was "It's used".  To be fair I'm constantly scouring all of the local gun shops multiple times a week, so it probably cost me $400 in gas to find a deal like this :)
