Any old air compressor junkies out there?

Found this baby on craigslist and figured I'd pick it up. I've got an older husky oil less 26 gallon unit that the pump went out on so I was thinking I could turn this combo into a nice unit using the tank from the Husky, as I have no desire to fix it's small, noisy, unreliable pump. Now, what do I know about it - not a lot.

The motor is a Westing house Type FJ single phase, 115/230v, 1/2hp, 1725rpm, and it runs.

The pump has no name on it what so ever that I can see. I went over it pretty good and can only find a couple of '18's cast into it and an 'FWB' cast into a triangle. The pulleys are 3.75" on the motor  @ 1725rpm and 10" on the pump, 9 inches apart. Punched them in a calculator and figure it should be running around 647rpm

There is also a small, and I mean very small tank underneath that you cannot see in the pics. When the thing is running, I can plug both of the open outlets from the tank with my thumbs and it will build pressure.

Any one on here versed in the world of old compressors and know what the heck this thing is or where it might have come from?? The guy I bought it from said he inherited it from his father in law that just used it around the farm to air up tires. Can't find any info on it on the internet given the lack of info I have on it to start with, just figured I'd throw it out there and see if anyone recognized it!

One thing I don't see is a pressure cut off and cut in switch, this switch is used to regulate the on / off cycle of the compressor as not to blow anything up!  A pressure gauge is needed to see just how much pressure is being built up and setting of the pressure control switch.

Other factors are the CFM ratings of the compressor, that tells you how much it is capable of producing for tool usage.

Air tanks have drains (petcock) to drain out condensation that accumulates in the bottom of tank, tanks that are in poor condition can blow out or even explode.   :o

Don't know what you want to use the setup for; But you can add more tanks for storage so long as they can handle the pressures.  If you have a large painting project the extra volume helps by letting the air cool and moisture condense out!

I use old (5 gallon or 20lb) propane tanks (keeping the valve setup) as an "Air Cady" for airing tires away from my compressor.
