I've started loading some 10mm rounds as well with Longshot and really like to performance so far. And that Longshot powder really has a bark :))

I was in a hurry this morning with my reply.

Typically, Tumbling occurs with heavy hard cast  bullet using the stock Glock Barrel

Thanks for the report TXCOONDOG, I've been loading just about the same load, xtreme bullets 180g hp, 8.7g Longshot, 1.255 oal, wlp. I don't have a chronograph so it's nice to see that you are getting the book velocities from your G20. I shoot them from my gen3g20 and 1006 and they've been great. How's the accuracy for you at 10yards? Also, for kicks, would you be able to measure one of the rainer bullets? Id like to see how close they are in length to the xtreme's I'm using.

My bench rest groups were 2.5" at 25 with the first load, 1.5" (even had one group of 4 at 3/4")with the second load and opened up to 3.25" with the last load.

I shot in groups of five and they were consistant with each session.

Free hand at 10yds were 2-3", because of shooter error (pulling down).

I use nickel plated brass to ID my hunting loads

Correct me if I am wrong but I read the bullet length as 0.6160",  shows a concave base.  Nice bullets!
What are the bullet diameter readings?... (= < >) 0.4000"

Just got 500 155gr XTP Bullets and wish I could find 180 or 200 XTP

I agree with Shadow, they do look nice! Thanks for the pics and the report. They are looking very close to the xtremes, see pics. The xtremes are seeming to be a little shorter, in a string of 10 random ones from my box i'm getting .6085 - .6105 for bullet length. In looking at the pics I'd chock that up to the cavity on your Rainers being slightly bigger than xtremes thus making the projectile slightly longer to make 180g. The diameters are dead on the money though, every one was .4000. Looks like things are working out great for you accuracy and velocity wise with what you were aiming for, awesome!

The load did work out, but I'm thinking that I will get better accuracy using Accurate # 9 since it takes more powder (less void in the case). Not to mention, it would be noticeable if I inadvertently double charge.

I just ordered some 200gr XTP's from Midway and I'm looking forward to working up a hog load.
