It was because of the recommendations here BTW. Lol

Cool.  Glad the thread was beneficial for others than just me.  Hope it works out really well for you!
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

For now I've decided to hold off on a hand-held primer seater.  I figure since I only have a single stage press for now anyways, what's the point.  Plus, on my single stage, you can actually quite nicely feel the primers seat anyway.  A big THANKS! to all who replied with the many excellent answers and suggestions!

If you're using the Lee Auto-Prime, you're doing fine.  It's no slower than a hand-held.  Just less convenient because it's bolted to a bench.  I have both, and use the hand-held more, only because I can do them kicked back in my comfortable chair.  Neither is any "better" than the other.  I also use the Lee Ram-Prime for small quantities (test loads, rifle, etc.), as it requires no setup, and is fool-proof (well, as much as it can be).

I use a Lee handheld I've had for probably 20 years - works great for the price I paid and it seats them quite consistently and quicker / easier than trying to use the press for it (little rcbs reloader special).  Only part I've replaced was the spring.  Not using press type shell holders is a bit of a pain, but not that bad.  Someday I'll save up enough pennies for a progressive...

I like the Lee the best.  I found the RCBS very annoying.  It liked to fall apart and was a pain to put back together or change around for me compared to just pushing down on the lee and sliding in a new shell holder.
