Handheld Primer Seaters, which one?

I tried the Hornady 20+ years ago.  Took it back the next day.  If they didn't improve it, don't bother.  I like Hornady stuff, but it was horrible.  If it's improved, maybe worth a second look.  I don't dislike the RCBS, but it won't stay aligned, and flips primers on occasion (20K+ rounds through it).  Miserable with military cases (reamed).  Really bad news with Federal SP primers!  I paid like $15 for it new, so maybe time for a replacement ($40 or more now).

Just got in a Lee ergo primer.  Bought the original Lee hand primer when they first came out.  It still works, but it had round trays and it was a bit of a problem getting the primers into the trays and shaking and shaking to get them all upright.  So, I decided to go for the ERGO  it definitely separates the primer out to keep it away from others for a detonation, but that was never that big a concern for me.  I got it for the square trays.  The square trays work great for putting a full 100 into the tray.  If you get a case that somehow need to have a crimp taken care of, it is a couple squeezes to get the primers back in the tray so you can work on that case.  I shopped, looked, at others, but never got to try one.  The RCBS with the universal holder that doesn't need to be changed, definitely was the runner up for my choice.  May still end up with one.....after reading the comments here.

I'm looking at a bench mounted Forster since I have a Forster press. Anyone try one?

That Forster seems really expensive.

The RCBS universal can be had right now for $51 after rebate.

The thing about Midway is they rape you on shipping. I bought my range bag from them when it was on sale for $39 and they charged me $20 for shipping.

I ain't saying you have to buy it from Midway, just saying there are lots cheaper options that have similar features to the Forster.

I hear ya, I actually use amazon a lot do I'll look there. Free second day shipping with the Prime account.

That's how I feel.  Been giving Graf & Sons most of the business because of it.

I use Midway allot, but more recently have been using Graff & Sons. FREE shipping on most things...

Give them a look, comparable pricing too....

Just put in a good sized order with Graf & Sons.  Putting in a good sized order qualified me for 2 free items.  One is a 55th Anniversary T-Shirt, and the other is a BSA PANORAMIC MULTI-RET SIGHT MAT w/MOUNTING RAIL.

Great pricing and FREE stuff.  How can you go wrong.

For now I've decided to hold off on a hand-held primer seater.  I figure since I only have a single stage press for now anyways, what's the point.  Plus, on my single stage, you can actually quite nicely feel the primers seat anyway.  A big THANKS! to all who replied with the many excellent answers and suggestions!

I ordered the hand held RCBS Universal model this weekend.

It was because of the recommendations here BTW. Lol
