Been taking advantage of the good weather, Fixed the bent shaft on my walk behind mower, after cutting most grass Apr 27th. I had to replace some shredded belts on the lawn tractor, then sharpened the blades.

Harvested my green onions, processed and put in the freezer, have a few more to do and the rest I will pick up to dry out and replant in September.  Trans planted some more tomatoes and okra plant where the onions where removed.

Have a few loads of dirt (dug from the ditches by the parish maintenance), I let them dump the dirt on my property, they have been drying out for a while now.  Now I am grinding them up with the garden tiller and spreading it out on some low spots, landscaping and raising some ares to a higher elevation to help drainage.  This is taking its toll on my neck, back and shoulders.  it's hell to get older... :o

Have to take my brother fishing soon, now that he's laid off from work.

Before the next rain storms Thursday, I'll re-cut all of my mom's grass (mother's day coming) and mine while it is still dry.

Yea, it's gettin' hotter too, we when from winter to summer here, no period of cooler, dryer weather for adjustment.

Shadow,

Glad you are enjoying pleasant spring weather.  I have been doing Grandpa stuff in San Diego for most of the last two weeks.  Of course the weather at the cabin has been mostly dry & warm, we did have 5+" of Snow on the 26th but it is all gone now so I was planning on putting some 10mm downrange.   It is now supposed to Snow tonight until Wednesday ........  >:(

Today was nice cool weather, I spent the day changing the rear brakes on my 2002 GMC 2500HD...some of the bolts torque to 140 lb ft, busted one Craftsman socket, and on some bolts I had to use box wrenches with cheaters.  There are 8 lugs per wheel and they torque to 120 ft lb.  I am sore in my wrist, elbows, neck and shoulders after this ordeal but its a done deal!  Today, I remember why I quit doing mechanic work, to be a fireman!

Next up is brakes all the way around, oil change and window regulator change out on the wife's car, and also window regulator on the truck, too.

Well it's goodbye cooler weather, its damn HOT!  Yesterday I changed the spindle on my lawn tractor, then cut some of my mother's yard, then after that I pulled the deck again and put on the new blades for the next cutting.

I started early this morning and changed the brakes on the wifes car, it was past time, the front pads were down to the glue! :o  Sweat running in my eyes and down the butt crack, pants so heavy, they were being pulled off from the weight... ???  It's hard to set up and do any testing or much shooting any amount. :-[  I still want to try and get out and test soon though.

Anyway another project done! :D

Sounds like a change in gear might help some too. If you swapped to a Linen or Silk shirt plus added Rayon or Linen pants things might be better.

Can I give you where to get them on the cheap? If you have nothing against Goodwill, it's a treasure chest of these materials. Just a couple of weeks ago I stopped in and picked up two shirts with new tags on them. One was Silk and the other Linen with $100-$125 price tags from Tommy Bahama and Jos. A. Bank. You will only have $10 in them though  ;D

For the most part, I were blue jeans and a tee shirt, keep a towel handy to wipe the sweat.  Yesterday's humidity was higher than this morning!

Summer time in the South. It is fun, ain't it. ;D Here, in mid-Georgia the rain has been occasional in the evenings......nothing like last year with the monsoons. Garden is doing well, no complaints. Worked in a little reloading the last few days. Tomorrow I'll cut the grass while waiting for the Fedex man with my Roland stuff. ;)
