I was hoping for a good emoticon, but none captured the feeling I wish to convey.  Words aren't much good either.  The man is gone, but his loads live on.  Long live SwampFox!

I thought it was my fault some of the original post did't show up, so I'll try again...

This load...

Was actually pulled down by one of the GT members (Nick) and found 9.9 grains & 9.7 grains as measured.
Mike (Mudrush) often chatted with us on the forum, sharing information.  Although I didn't know Mike personally he was well liked as was his ammunition.  If anyone had issues he worked with them to make it right!

I have to wonder what pressure these were at.  They are well over the max load data listed by Hodgdon.  But, I fear lots of that data is driven by attorneys as much as lab facts.

Intercooler

Wonder what the loading was on the batch I tested? They would have given a Glock own a solid 1250 FPS.

I picked up a lb of longshot and finally added a chrony to my reloading equipment.  Gonna start working on some loads of my own in honor of Mike.

I will post the results I see here.

I posted my data obtained from Longshot and 180gr bullets here if you're interested.

Thanks!  I read your post with interest.  Look from my results from sessions in the Utah high desert in the coming weeks.

Mike died fefore I got my first shipment of ammo from him. I wanted to use it for hunting this past year.

RIP.

I was able to order a couple of his offerings before he passed. A loss for all of us! :'(

REDLINE

Sucks to loose a guy like that.  Wish I would have ordered up some of his ammo.  Too late now. :'(
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

I'm from the Charleston area (Mt Pleasant) SC. I just found out that the whole time I was buying ammo from Mike, I knew his brother Lynn and Niece. Lynn's daughter and my daughter played on the same travel softball team. I remember when we'd go the tournaments in the Sumpter area, Lynn said he was from there but it never clicked with me that he was the Swamp Foxes brother!

Being online and email "friends" with Mike and knowing his brother personally I can say those are some real good people. RIP Mike

I am still trying to document the ammo as made by Mike Willard to preserve his load data, by doing pull-downs of the actual ammo if and when it can be found.  On the 10mmFirearms site you can see all of the pull-downs that have been documented. http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10mm-ammo-pull-downs/swamp-fox-ammo-pull-downs-needed!/
We have had a number of newer people to the site but many are not new to the 10mm guns and ammo.  So if you have ammo from SwampFox, I would greatly like to get a couple of rounds of each especially if we haven't done the documentation on that particular round.  If you are interested let me know which cartridges and bullet weight and velocity data (if known) that you have.
There are people who have donated a couple of rounds out right and some people that shared, actually wanted their cartridges back after I put them back together to their original loading specs with the original components.
So please consider this a preservation to the legacy of the 10mm and Mike Willard so all of us can learn from.

I appreciate if you are interested in this...contact me and we will make arrangements one way or another.
Best regards. Wade
