Checking Handload 10mm

Just getting started reloaded and wondered if you use a case gauge or use your Glock (I have a KKM barrel too) 1911, etc barrel for checking your 10mm ammo?

I use my spare LW barrel to check EVERY round since both my G20sf and G29sf both have LW barrels in them. I have never put a round through either stock barrel ( their still virgins ). To me the one weakness to reloading 10mm for me is the stock Glock barrel chambers. All 3 of my LW barrels have performed flawlessly in my 2 Glocks.

The case gauge is the best option as it is the ultimate gauge, if you are using your barrels, you need to use the tightest chambered one for your gauge.  I have found using the pass-through sizing method (this irons out any bulging of the brass, Not Smiles) and seating and crimping in separate steps,  everything will fit the gauge and all the barrels.

Use a min-max case gauge... its tighter than any barrel I have and checks yr sizing, oal, case lenght all at same time.
just drop a bullet in!  easy.

While I won't argue that a case gauge is the ulitmate, I think it is overkill for most reloaders.  You can make fine ammunition for your guns using the method Shadow calls out.

I reload for acceptable quality ammo at the lowest price, so I haven't spent any budget on a case gauge.  And, I have never had an issue.

I picked up a used case gauge on Ebay for $10...  Saw a whole set of 6 go for $50.
Not that u can't make quality ammo using a barrel, but it if it fits in the cheap gauge, it fits in anything.

I picked up a Dillion case gauge for the 10mm and like it so well that I bought one for 9mm and .40.
