G20 v3... 500+ rounds all stock, not one problem;
( one mag under DT180gr locked open once with 1 rd left in mag.... mag related, cut follower notch down 1tho to fix  )

Silvertip 175gr
DT 180 hp
reloads 180gr from LAX
PMC 180gr
Amer Eagle 180gr
assorted small amount of mix, 135, 155, 200gr

nochromeguns

so far my G20C is perfect.  It really likes my reloads!!

Its eaten every brand of commercial ammo without an issue.

Love it!

I won't say perfect, because I had lots of problems with aftermarket parts.....BUT

Since putting the Gen4 G20 back to stock configuration, its ate everything I've given to it including...

Underwood 180GD
Underwood 135 Nosler
Underwood 155 XTP
Underwood 150 Nosler
Doubletap 135g

and lots of heavy 135g, 150g, 155g, 165g &180g handloads.  I'm talking at least 500 rounds of various ammo with the stock Gen4 spring and stock Glock barrel.

I did just get some Underwood 220g hardcast, and I might run ten or so through it out of some perverse sense of curiosity, but from what I understand that if they do feed, the bullets likely won't stabalize with the Glock barrel, and leading will be the reward.

Put aftermarket springs or my Lonewolf barrel back on and issues come right back.  I'm not saying there isn't an aftermarket solution that might not work, but I'll keep it stock.

Mine has run very well since I got it with the stuff I've run through it and still testing with more ammos.
I have posted some of this info in other locations but thought I'd post it here as well.

Well I bought the digital fish scale to attempt to measure the point at which the slide starts to move with the factory spring vs. the Wolff Gun Springs 22lb. Not very accurate but the results did repeat and may have to refine the setup to gain better results...Gun is set so the striker is pre-cocked

Glock 20Sf Factory spring test
It takes 5lb 3oz to start the slide to move from the locked position
Full retraction at 18lb 0oz at lock open

Glock 20SF spring test Wolff Gun Springs 22lb RSA installed
It takes 6lb 4oz to start the slide to move from the locked position
Full retraction at 22lb 9oz at lock open

Slightly over a pound difference 1lb 1oz to start the slide to move from the locked position
Slightly over a 2 pound difference 2lb 9oz at lock open

My 20SF is working well with both spring setups...
Tested the Parabellum Research PBR 165 grain FMJ V-Supreme ammo, 50 rounds...

Wind was stiff and moving clouds made some shots not register on the CHRONY.
Here are the results of the latest range trip, Glock 20 SF.
NO failures of any kind. I did fire 15, 5, 3, 2 from each of two different magazines. I even trying to induce a failure, full mag 15 rounds, 5 rounds, 3 rounds, 2 rounds, two hands, one hand, limp grip, gangsta style. Single Tap, Double Tap and Triple tap shots.

Factory barrel/spring
1290, 1344, 1317, 1340, 1317, 1340, 1280, 1334, 1328, 1191,
1323, 1360, 1380, 1322, 1327, 1324, 1343, 1319, 1331

Factory Barrel Wolff Gun Springs 22lb non captive recoil rod and springs
1295, 1361, 1330, 1335, 1347, 1246, 1342, 1325, 1321, 1333,
1347, 1335, 1328, 1348, 1336, 1333, 1310, 1310

Those were the rounds that registered; I was sort of rushing through this, before anyone else showed up.

Case expansion was 04330"- 0.4340", typical of Glock Factory Barrels.  No "Smiles were found using this ammo from the factory barrel.

Pull-Down info of this ammo is shown at this link; http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10m...from-chucky2)/

No problems with this ammo as tested. :D

When I get a chance I'll run some stuff that is known to "Smile" as tested by others and even some I've over loaded a while back searching for extremes with the 200 gr Gold Dots member Rome sent.

I bought a Gen2 when they first came out. The only thing I have done to it was replace the factory barrel with Lone Wolf.
Awesome relaibility.
Thinking a 6" barrel would be cool addition

My Gen 2 Glock 20 runs great

Oh, did I mention.....
It doesn't have a Glock Upper ?   :P

So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

4949shooter

My Gen 3 works perfectly with the right set up for the ammo.

Low power stuff up to Hornady 175 grain Critical Duty: 17 pound (stock) spring.

Medium Power up to Silvertip and Hornady 180 XTP: 20 pound captured RSA.

Underwood: 22 pound captured RSA.

I don't know how it works yet with the hardcast loads from BB and UW but I will let you know when I try them.

Curious though...as to why you ask.

That's a Gen 3? No 220gr or 230gr Hardcast?

Yes, Gen 3.  I haven't had a reason to shoot the heavy stuff.

Yondering

I'm curious too, was this thread another attempt to point out something wrong with Glocks?

I run heavy springs in mine, the "24lb" (not really 24 lb) captured ISMI springs in my 6.6" long slide and with the stock G20 barrel in my G21 slide. Both function perfectly with everything, from mild 40 S&W to nuclear loads, almost 1,000 ft-lb from the long slide.

I do shoot heavy cast bullets through both, but handloads not Underwood.

I have nearly the exact same set-up you have, Yondering.  I also have no issues.
