I've had 3 G20s and a couple of G29. Currently have 1 G20 3rd gen and 1 G29 gen 4. Never had an issue running them. My gen 3 G20 has about 2k plus rounds thru it. Kkm barrel, phantom adj trigger, dpm system, polished internals. Underwood, DT, Silver tips, hot loaded home brew recipes. Same results with the G29 with same upgrades.

My Gen 3 G20 has been flawless with everything I've put through it except for one of my reloads (which was overpressure anyway). I've even got a couple thousand rounds of Winchester White Box 165gr .40S&W through it with a KKM conversion barrel. That is even coupled with a 24lb ISMI recoil spring on a Lone Wolf guide rod.

Most all my reloads were 9.8gr Longshot (or less) in new Starline brass with CCI no. 300 LPPs.

I have both a Gen4 20 w/700 rounds and a Gen4 29 w/600 rounds. Both run a mix of ammo no prob. So far.

Gen 4 glock 20 full fde has run flawless with all ammo I've been able to buy locally. I have not shot buffalo bore out of it yet.

Quick 2

I hate G locks. The only way they could make an S&W M&P better is if they offered it in 10mm. I have just never liked them. Back in the 80s when they were first coming out I thought I want one until I seen and shot one did not like it and still don't. There is just 2 other guns I consider ulgyer than a G lock and they would be a High Point and the Remington R51. Sorry guys just couldn't resist. Guess that is why there is some many different gun designs. If I made anyone mad about slamming their G locks  I'm sure this forum has a butt hurt form. :P

I have two 10mm Glocks now and they are both solid performers, albeit with 22 / 24 pound recoil spring assemblies.

The Glock is a durable platform. For those who master the trigger and grip it is a fine fighting weapon.

Shoot what you like. Carry what suits you best.

Do you notice any difference between the 22 and 24 lb spring? (with same ammo of course)

I will say I didn't buy a Glock for looks :o, but rather a cheaper replacement for CCW, that is easily replaced if lost or stolen or god forbid, held after an incident, reliable, accurate, simplistic, parts for easy to maintenance.  Having extra conversion barrels adds to trigger time as an avenue for the use of other cartridges from a very versatile platform.

Having several that have been very reliable takes the place of many other older makes in the collection that have served me well. While they don't get carry time they still take trips to the range!  ;D

No....I really didn't. You can notice the difference when racking the slide by hand, but while shooting the difference is negligible.

My Glock 20 has been flawless so far. Running it stock. It's only had a few hundred down the pipe. 1, 50 round box of the weak AE ball. 1 50 round box of the even weaker privi 180 HP. 1 50 round box of Armscor  180 ball. The rest have been my handloads consisting of 165 and 180 gr plated bullets over 231, and a bunch of 155 and 180 gr XTPs over bluedot.

Have 29 GEN four. Shot 100 rounds of reloads 9.1 longshot. Zero issues.
Oh yeah, completely stock.

G29 flawless and perfect with the Lone Wolf .40, .357 and extended 10mm length conversions.

Best value out there

Awesome shooter.

I've had a Gen3 G20sf for about 3 years now.   Probably about 4000+ rounds thru it.

Mods:
KKM barrel after the first 300 rounds
TFO sights
Grip (backstrap reduction)
Frame stippled
Tungsten guide rod with 22# spring
Fulcrum trigger kit - just installed in the last month.   Awesome upgrade.

I have a Gen 3 20sf completely stock with over 1k rounds through it.... Only had FTE issues with some "Surplus Arms and Ammo" branded ammunition.  Love this gun.  I also have two Gen 3 29sf... Not as much fun but getting used to them.  No issues with either of them.

I use a G20 Glock with the DPM Triple spring system with the Silver outer spring, and I use Underwood ammo with this spring set up;

With the silver spring I can go between:

Underwood 165 Grain FMJ
underwood 180 Grain FMJ
Underwood 200 Grain FMJ
Underwood 220 Lead Cast rounds

with the Yellow Spring outer I use the:
115 Extreme Defender
140 Grain Defender
Both from Underwood.
I use a Chronograph to record the FPS of the shots I make, and in ALL of the Underwood rounds, it EXCEEDS all FPS claims from Underwood by at least 30 FPS (most are around 50 to 60 FPS Greater than advertised).
I have shot over 1000 rounds over 18 months, and only during the first two months did I have any FTF issues, or until I got the right outer springs figured out on the DPM system. Over the past year not ONE SINGLE FTF happened, and I group (on double tap) 2 to 3 inch groups on 25 to 30 yard target ranges.  I absolutely love my G20, better than any gun I have ever owned. And thanks to Underwood, I can claim that I hit 1705 FPS (802 ME) on there 135 Grain XTP hollow-point on AVERAGE!!!
Take that .357 - 125 grain owners,,,, Eat Poo and LIVE!!!
