Hi-- my first day of 73 rounds was perfect.  50 Mild loads ..  20 very warm loads.  And 3 hot loads.

Glock 20 gen3 SF.  I know this is not a lot.. But batting 100% on day 1 is a good feeling.

See my post on the range report for a few more details.

Have a good one.

OK,  So I got 20 of the BB 155 Tac-x's and 5 of the Underwood 180 TMJ's pulled down this afternoon.   I'm a little under the weather today and Snow is forecast for tomorrow and Saturday, so I will finish the pulldowns later.   Anyway, here is what I got using an RCBS Kinetic Bullet Puller and an Ohaus 505 Balance Beam Scale.

The Buffalo Bore 155 Tac-x:

Brass Case:  Head Stamp - A USA 10mm Auto ( Appears New )
Primer: Silver Large Pistol
Bullet: Barnes 155 Tac-x ( Copper/ Lead Free HP )
Muzzle Velocity from BB Web Site -  1425 FPS from stock G20
Powder Charge: I weighed 5 random during the pulldown, finding charges of 11.3, 11.2, 11.2, 11.2 & 11.2 grains of an unknown powder that was so compressed it looked like a pellet.

The Underwood 180 TMJ:

Brass Case:  Head Stamp - Underwood 10mm ( Appears New )
Primer- Silver Large Pistol
Bullet - 180 Grain Truncated Cone with a dished base ( Appears similar to the Xtreme HPCB )
Muzzle Velocity from Underwood Web Site - 1300 FPS
Powder Charge: All 5 weighed 14.4 Grains, Unknown Powder ( Fine Texture & didn't appear
       to have been Compressed )

I tried attaching a picture and found the file was too large .....  :-[

Both of my Glock 10mm's function extremely well.

Gen3 G20, wolf 3.5# connector, 22-4lb (I can't remember which, sorry!) brass stacker return spring, extended slide stop/release lever, night sights, but everything else is stock.  Bought this August 2013. This eats everything. I typically feed it Armscor when I can get it, or Underwood when they have it in stock. I've used PBR, PPU in a pinch, and the Federal red box once. Every once in a blue moon I have a FTFeed, but almost always that has been a function of ammo seating improperly. I have put over 3000 rounds through this since last August.

Gen4 G29, stock except pearce grips and triji HDs. Bought this March 2014. I've probably only put 3-400 rounds through this, so in my opinion the jury is still out. It has only had Underwood 180/165, Armscor, and PBR 165 FMJ.  Hasn't had any issues yet.

From what I gather on this topic, I am extremely lucky here?

No, I don't think so.   Your results are just about what most of the others commenting on their G20 Gen3's had to report.

And don't forget, there are many shooters out there who shoot Glocks as well as other makes who don't report anything because there is nothing to report (no issues to speak of).

So after another 195 rounds down range, I think my Gen 2 runs 100% with the exception of Underwood 180 TMJ's.   They still have FTF & RTB issues.   Based on my experience and what I am hearing from others, I really think I have an out of spec lot of the 180 TMJ.

I feel comfortable in the reliability of my Gen 2 & it has become my primary back country companion.

I have a 20sf and a 29 both bone stock other than a shock buff on the 20, I have never had an ftf or fte on either one that I can recall, I have a lone wolf 9x25 dillon barrel for the 20 I would estimate my round count on the 20 at 1800-2000 with 200-300 of that 9x25, it has eaten everything from .40 powered factory ammo to full house reloads without fail, the 29 round count is around 300-400 most of them 1150-1250 fps 180 grn jhp reloads, and a box or two of them being Remington umc 180 grn factory loads.

So today, I shot the last 50 of the Underwood 180 TMJ's.  NO FTF or RTB issues, although on one magazine it did lock back with 1 left in the mag, ran the mag again & NO issues .....  :-\
The last box must have been from a different Lot, I haven't checked all the boxes for Lot # yet.

I also ran 25 more of the 10mm American Eagle 180's and 6 Winchester 180 Grain SXT, of the 40 Short & Weak variety.  Had NO issues, it is good to know that they will run in an emergency .....  ;D         I'm at the 531 rounds down range mark, & I'm a Happy Camper.  Will try and start reloading over the next month.

Glockmeister 22lb Gen 4 RSA on the way and I ordered a 10mm2 follower as well.

Gen 3 fullsize. Stock with light/med loads. Heavy stuff 22lb Wolff spring and steel guide. No issues.

I have a g3 g20 slide milled by atei on a g4 g21 frame. 6" kkm barrel, new g4 mags with #3 followers, and a tlr1. First time out I had a 22lb ismi spring in it and an extended slide release. Tons of different malfunctions. Slide locking back with rounds left in the mag, ftfs, etc-this is with hot ammo mind you. The slide was running way too fast-it turns out the ismi spring was way under stated lb strength.

Enter Wolff guide rod, 24lb spring, and +10% mag springs. Tossed the extended mag release. Second time out the gun functioned MUCH better, but it didn't like a few loads including hot PBr 165fmj, hornady 180gr xtps, and some 180 plated reloads of mine. I attributed some malfunctions to the slide out running the mag springs still and some to the oal of the cartridges being a bit long to the barrels liking.

Enter wolff 22lb spring and doubling up magazine springs. Gun ran 100% through 250 rds of HOT reloads in 155,165,180, and 200gr varieties. All of the aforementioned factory ammo worked as well. The slide would lock back with 1 round left in the double springed mags as the tension was enough for the follower to hit the slide stop even with 1 rd left. Not a big deal IMO. Next time out I will be seeing whether or not the extended slide release will work for me now

Mine runs flawlessly.

G20SF (Gen3)
stock OR 22lb Wolff RSA
Burris Fastfire 3 w/ Springer Precision mount
Ghost Edge 3.5lb trigger connector
Wolff competition spring pack
stock barrel (for now)

Runs everything from 800fps 200gr handlloads up through full power 1215+ fps Accurate #9 hunting handloads.  Not a single problem.

In stock form my gen3 G20 has never had a malfunction of any kind.

I've shot:

Winchester 175gr Silvertips
Buffalo Bore 180gr Gold Dots
CCI Blazer 200gr TMJ
Ultramax Remanufactured 180gr FMJ
PMC Bronze 200gr FMJ
Federal American Eagle 180gr FMJ

The only hiccup It has ever had was with a new Lone Wolf .40 conversion barrel. I bought 2 boxes of Winchester Ranger 180gr FMJ reduced lead ammo and was getting 1 or 2 failures to fully chamber in every magazine. Since then I've used Winchester white box bonded 180gr JHP and PPU 180gr FMJ and it has run flawlessly ever since.
