I would run a single spring as well. The parts look pretty good to me and the fact it takes the K10 14 rounders is a win!

StockIIBoss, that's a sweet looking pistola. I received my 12 round P compact Friday and sent the magazine back to EAA today. It came with the Tanfoglio mag with red follower >:(. The mag had a lot of slack in the magwell, and when I gripped the grip my pinky finger moved the magazine. This was causing rounds to nosedive into the feed ramp resulting in FTF's. I took the K10 mag out of my StockI and it fit very good in the compact. I hope EAA has K10's in the 12 round version.

I think I have a computer problem...'cause I can't see any pics of your gun on here! LOL. Want me to send you the bear?  :))

Mine does have the advantage of using my other K10 mags, so that's a nice bonus. I'm heading back over to the range in just a bit to test out the new recoil spring.

If the 18lb. spring works for you I will try it. I have one that I bought for my Stock I that I'm not using. It'll probably next week before I get my mag back. Oh yeah, the pics of your new addition is some very nice photography work.

I really think I want this one with the K10 14 rounder. Lot's of fire-power in a small package with a good grip. You could customize it a bit with a heart hammer and possibly different sights if the front is a standard piece.

I headed to the range today. The gun was great! The spring kinda 'feels' like 18lbs, but not really sure, but if you find an 18lb I'd go for it. May want to try a 20 as well. I'm still a bit miffed about Tanfo's use of those twin light springs.  I had a couple feed issues. Ramp jambs with hollow points, but I haven't polished that yet. I'm sure a little tweaking and it'll be fine. Overall the gun is solid and dependable, but I want to run a few hundred more rounds thru it just to make sure.

I suppose it will hold up as long as any other poly frame gun. The rails on the frame look pretty substantial, even though they're just single pairs front and back. All the other manufacturer's do the same thing, so not too worried about it.

I worked on the sear just a bit to polish it up, but haven't touched the hammer hooks yet. The angle is too steep for my taste, so I'll change that just a bit so the hammer isn't moving rearward while the sear is moving. That's done for safety reasons, but a little tweaking will make a big improvement in the trigger's feel. I most likely won't reduce the hammer hooks distance for that super 'icicle crisp' break since this won't be a competition target pistol, but a little here and a touch there can really make a difference over stock.

BTW, for those reading this, if you haven't 'tuned' your trigger before, you can really mess this up, so make sure you have the proper tools (jigs n such) and some knowledge. Just don't go free-filing on those parts. LOL :o   That's my disclaimer and I'm sticking with it!

I checked, and yep, they're still available.  :D   BTW, even at a lightweight 29oz, it's a good feeling shooter. You will be amazed.

That get you? haha.

I still think I would plop a 20-22lb spring in there.

Have you given any thought to putting the DPM setup in there? It looks like they make one to fit... I run it in our XD.

Glad the 18lb. spring worked for you StockIIBoss. I do not like the dual spring setup. I'm going to try the 18lb. the next time I shoot. The weather cleared and warmed up here this afternon  so I headed to the range. I took the K10 mag. from my Stock I and 50 rounds of American Quality 180gr. fmj. With the K10 mag. I had a flawless outing. I really like the way the P compact performs.

Any thoughts on running the DPM system? I'm an experimenter and would if I owned one.

Not so sure about the 'one fits all' offerings. The same system is used whether for a 9mm or 10mm. Whatcha think?

Intercooler

I would call and ask. They should be able to offer a spring option.

danwe

My next purchase for my P compact will be a Wolff calibration spring kit. The recoil isn't bad enough for me to put a $100 recoil system in it.
