Evidently not derived from Federal's HST.  Performance in ballistics gel was significantly inferior 
to HST in every caliber tested.

The HST's are visible look at how long they are. 

I see what your talking about.   The SIG's are definitely not an HST.

After a little more consideration, I suspect SIG is using a Ranger-T (same technology HST is based on) projectile.  The projectile on the SIG V-Crown box a lot look like this Ranger-T.
