Just a plain old 20SF with Win Silvertips........

This situation is exactly like 1994 and 2009.  Shooters responded emotionally to some threat that did not exist.  Some persons who wanted to appear "in the know" or "connected" used the internet forums to repeat these "sky is falling" rumors over and over until people believed i

G29sf  75% of the time

Since I picked up a Gen4 G29 that has been me too but I've noticed that my G20 actually carries more comfortably, despite the extra weight. The G29's shorter slide tends to jab/rub me in uncomfortable places. I currently carry appendix using the RCS Vanguard 2, though, so my thoughts may change if I ever go through with plans to get a Desbiens Gunleather AIWB holster. The VG2 works well enough and is as minimal as can be so I just haven't really felt pushed to use anything else.

Cool!

Do you find the compensated models to shoot that much better? I have a friend that swears by his G21C (it is his duty gun, actually) but I have yet to shoot any of the 'C' models myself...

IME, you lose a little muzzle flip and gain a little noise, but that's really it.  it does take practice to get used to the compensator, but the sight radius is slightly longer than with non-comp guns.  I eventually want to do a long slide with a micro dot with the G20, mainly for hunting and so I don't cut up my original slide

I have a G-24C long slide that i used to carry, very easy to shoot, muzzel blast is minamal & is very accurate. Great trigger. Allas!!!! i bought a G-29 so the 24C is now a safe gun. Love my G-29 & carry all the time . Also have a G-21 converted to 10mm with a 5.30" Storm Lake barrel also very accurate but not as nice of trigger as the 24C. This is my woods carry.

Grizz, you could swap the trigger assemblies in the two guns.  Then your G29 would have the sweet trigger.

Cool i never thought of that !! :o

G29Sf, all the time, in a JS Kydex IWB holster. Corbon 135 PowRBall first mag, 165 Underwood next. I carry stock in town, but like a LW standard length bbl and 21# non captured RSA for the woods. I like DT 230 HC and Buffalo Bore 155 TAC-XP especially. Have shot completely through hog heads with both at close range. Awesome. I carried .45 ACP for decades. I like the flat shooting, penetration , power of the 10mm better.

G29SF, Gen 3.5 (Gen 4 RSA)... Loaded with whatever I have on hand at the time (and even reloads sometimes but mostly factory for CCW.

I CCW in either my beloved CBST or my favorite, my Smartcarry.

I carry the G20 most days in Alaska.  Definitely carry it to the woods when the bears are awake.  (As a back-up to the Marlin 45-70 Guide Gun)

Carry one in Minnesota too.  Can't have too many 10mm's.

PS Just saw an EAA Witness 10mm Hunter recently.  VERY nice gun.

When I carrry a 10MM it is my good ole G29 loaded with Buffalo Bore 155gr DPX.
