I was curious if this is the same powder in the Black Talon as either Silvertip (Old/New)?

Two of the Winchester Silvertips had 13.0 grains they were NOT WAP (Winchester Action Pistol) same as Ramshot Silhouette.

The very first Winchester Silvertip we did had 8.6 grains and it fits the WAP profile.
WARNING Winchester could have still used specially blended powders for their commercial loadings.

Here is data from Winchester 15th Edition Reloader's Manual pages 48 and 49 10mm data for canister powders.

I would like to see these loaded to 1200 fps.  :P

Intercooler

It's already been stated they don't hold together at anything more than where they are.

BTW... Any original ratings on these for the sheet?

Well that stinks.

The Shadow has the dope on why. I guess Winchester did the tests and found this out, making them so underwhelming for a 10mm round.

The Black Talons are non bonded, exposed lead base, they open up at below the 900 fps, Black Lubalox coating.
The one I recovered did travel deeply and opened as advertised.  I  think if the base was closed with the copper jacket,  driving them to 1200 would be a great bullet.

I will take a picture of a 10mm / 40cal Ranger T (exposed lead core at base) and Bonded (bronze capped core base) to compare...

I wonder if you could crimp a gas check on one?
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?
