American Rifleman April 2014...On the front cover another 45ACP on the back cover 45ACP, page 7 A "D-Day Tribute 1911 45ACP, page 13 1911 45ACP, page 29 1911 45ACP, page 34 another 45ACP Kahr, page 41 1911 45ACP, page 49 1911 45ACP, page 54 Double Tap 45ACP, page 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 & 61 P227 45ACP, page 65 1911 45ACP, page 78 1911 45ACP, page 81 & 82 1911 45ACP and 1911 22LR, page 96 ruger 45ACP, page 102 1911 45ACP...22 pages of pictures and articles  brainwashing the buying public.

WOW page 82 10mm VITAL-SHOK AMMO from FEDERAL! The article mentions a few platforms EAA, Glock 20 & 29, and Myriad makes of 1911 pistols...sure there are a few 1911's chambered for 10mm, but they had to get that 1911 dig in there!

Disgustingly pounding and brainwashing by manufactures and the authors of the articles >:(...The AR platform is getting just as bad. >:D

The 1911 in .45 ACP is the Holy Grail of the gun world.

Or so some think.

I wish the 10mm got more coverage as well.

But, if I lived in one of the big markets (CA, NY, etc) as far as population count, I would probably have 45's instead of 10's.  Magazine capacity limits in those places, as well as threats to ammo supply, make the 45 a very attractive alternative.

I don't get this reasoning. The legal limit doesn't go away by chosing a cartridge that inherently limits magazine capacity through its size. I'd take ten rounds of 10 mm over ten rounds of .45 any day. Whether or not the 10 mm magazine could hold more without a legal limit isn't a factor.
