10mm - "yes, big bada BOOM"

BEEMER!

Well it is not something I would purchase, but as my friend the used car salesman once told me:

Looks like fun with Underwood.

I had one of the Bond Arms derringers in 45LC / 410 and it wasn't bad to shoot the wide grip and 20oz weight help a lot.  I also had one of the Double Tap derringers in 45acp and it sucked to shoot.

I watched a video of a guy shooting .410 out of one. It didn't seem to bad.

I am not a big fan of Darringers, but I know they have there place in the market.
However since we are all fans of the 10mm, it does make me interested in it.

I have only held one of the double tap Darringers, I didn't like it.
Even if you are wanting something unique for a collection.

FYI....American Derringer offers their Model 1 in 10mm (and just about any Handgun Caliber you can think of, plus 30-30 and .223)

Cool!
I had not looked at other companies yet.
Now I will have to!

I had an early American Derringer in 9mm and it was something you could pocket carry where the Bond is rather large for pocket carry at least for me (I know some people pocket carry a 3" 1911) also recoil was pretty stiff and I can imagine how the 10mm would feel in the same package.
Either would be a good addition from a 10mm collectable standpoint butthe Bond would be something you could shoot more.

Here is the Bond I had.

Pointless. The barrel is too short to get any benefit from the 10mm cartridge. Something that short needs to be chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP.

I found out the prices... Wow
American is 710+
Bond is 400+

It not like a person would want to shoot it a whole lot.
Just need to be used for a last resort effort.

I like that it is in a 10mm, that way I don't have to wory about another size of ammo to keep.
