The sheet says they did 1191 with 630 foot pounds. Not 1300 but still full power.

Big Meplat for the weight.

I made the same casual observation but wasn't certain of the implications regarding bullet performance. Noob question - is this generally a good or bad thing?

You mean them not meeting advertised? It's still strong but I like to see them adjust to real world. If others can get close it's no excuse for Doubletap.

Yessir, I've heard about the DT loads not meeting claimed velocity. I was instead referring to the relationship b/t meplat size & bullet weight. Wondering if too large meplat on a given weight bullet is detrimental to terminal performance? I guess the velocity would be major factor in all this too. So in a nutshell is a relatively bigger than average meplat on a given weight bullet good or bad?

The one thing that would concern me about the wide meplat is feeding in a semi auto.

Haha yeah...I wouldn't mind trying them out when I finally get the 5.15 inch barrel.

I have been shooting a bunch of Hardcast lately through mine and haven't seen any leading in the Polygonal barrels. Actually, it has been a bit since I gave them a good scrub! Usually between shooting sessions I wipe down the chamber, magazines, breach face, ramp and exterior and call it good.

I think i am going to choose this for my woods load. I like the big fat meplat over the smaller underwood and buffalo bore. in a 6"lone wolf barrel 1263fps per the youtube video drsjr1969 I am pretty damn confident in it.  The underwoods were moving out at 1268fps in the 6" and 20gr heavier. lastly the buffalo bore was moving 1231fps which is pretty close to what jeff quinn (gun blast online) got with his 6.375" (threaded) lonewolf barrel without the comp on it.

I have been loading these for my G20 and they seem to feed fine in both my stock barrel and KKM.

I feel the same as you, I like the large frontal area.
