Looking for a new 10mm. My 1911 buddies are ragging on me because I'm not buy a 45acp. Lol. They just don't get it. Here is the deal. Already have a Rock VZ tactical2. I'm trying to decide between dan wesson razorback =$1249 and kimber custom tle2 =$1029. Handled both weapons. Shot only kimber. Just want some input. Your experiences with either one or both is appreciated. Not interested in any other gun so please keep it focused. For you polymer gun nuts I already own a Gen 4 in 10mm although would love glock to bring out the 41 in 10mm. Would buy one also.

Can't speak on the Dan Wesson (although one day I hope to find and be able to afford one of their 10mm CBOBs with a ramped barrel), but have been very happy with my 10mm Kimber Eclipse.

If 1911 is the choice the Dan Wesson gets the nod. The Kimber target is on sale if that might be your flavor. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, but the fit, finish and parts will be better on the Dan Wesson.

I'm just a little worried about kimber heard their customer support wasn't very good. Is the razorback worth the extra $200. It has the same features as kimber. Although the frame/slide, barrel/bushing fit on tha dan wesson was by far better.

I guess it comes down to preference. The DW guys are good in the CS department and resale would probably always be higher.

Have you let them blow things up with 135 gr HPs? That always puts a smile on people's faces.

Have both the Kimber II and the Dan Wesson RZ-10. The Kimber was my first 10-mm and has functioned flawless for many years and thousands of rounds. Kimber came with tritium sights and is more accurate than my ability to shoot it.

The RZ-10 was purchased ~3 months ago and has functioned flawless as well, but much lower round count being newer. As with the Kimber, the RZ-10 is more accurate than my ability to shoot it. Out of the box, the RZ-10 was much tighter; from the barrel bushing to the slide.

IMO- The Kimber feels more comfortable, but the RZ-10 is the better looker. Neither have been back to the manufacturer, so unable to vouch for service and customer relations. Can't go wrong with either. Good luck as this is a hard decision.

Having fired both I prefer the DW. For fit, looks, and resale value the DW wins. The extra $200, while not small change, would be well worth it, to me.

:)My first 10 mm was glock 20 it was a great gun no problems but I was raised with 1911 under my seat & under my pillow so I got kimber custom 2TLE, I read good and bad about kimbers but I loved the gun so I
Got her, I am blessed to have my own pistol/rifle range thank you God,I have about 1100 rds down the pipe
Absolutely no problems other than pilot error lots of different load and steady diet of 180 & 11gr blue dot
The thing is Kimbers without  a doubt have the best chamber support of all 10s. I have a  18" gong at 300
Yards I can hit all day long off bags, once KTY was figured out lots of fun with this gun I can't hit it wit my 29
With 4" Bart-Stow barrel but I love my 29 even if she is fat and ugly  :-)  if  I did not get the Kimber it would not be because DW was better (chamber support) it would be because it says made in NY on the side
And that's like riding a mule no matter how good it is your ashamed, but she sure shoots good :-)

I have the tle ii and it has been 100% reliable but I hated the polymer msh and it still has some mim parts. I would pay the extra and get the dw and start out right.

RZ--10

I'd get the Dan Wesson! Got my first one about a year and a half ago and will soon have 4. One of them is a Razorback 10mm built on a Valor frame with a few extras. All done by Dan Wesson custom shop.
