Every gun magazine I look at has a 45ACP on the cover or article about a damn 45ACP this or that!  Heck my American Rilfleman came in and it has the Liberator 45 on the cove and an detailed article inside. Talk about beating a dead horse to death!  Quite frankly I'm tired of seeing any 45's, 1911's...

No wonder the 10mm didn't stand a chance!

It is not just you.

And, you would think the hardcore 1911 guys would really latch onto the 10mm.  It take the one possible shortcoming you could attribute to 45 ACP, low velocity, and turns it on it's ear.  Plus, most 1911 guys are serious Cooper fans, and the 10mm was his baby.

The 1911, is bad, for some, being overdone, just imagine, what it's like for the non AR crowd. My father has complained more than once about how sick and tired he is with the magazines and outdoor shows! His questions, in discuss, was all the dedication to a firearm, he has absolutely no use for. Just imagine!

I kinda agree with your old man since I'm also old.  ;D A little wood and steel just for old times sake would be appreciated. Probably wouldn't sell much advertising though......

Even though I like 1911s the anniversary year is over......give it a break.

When's the last time you saw an article on reloading 10mm? Now you have whole magazines dedicated to old military weapons.....fine, but after a few notables it has to go to the weird. Should I really care what Mauser variant Peru used in  1937? 8) Probably not, unless I'm importing a freighter load.......

Let's see...Guns & Ammo ran one in 2010 and Handloader in 2008.  I guess that means we are due.  One article every two years on the 10mm ::)

Source of frustration for me as well.

Thanks for the memory. ;D I just ordered the June '08 Handloader issue from their website.

You are most welcome.  It is a pretty good article.  The author was Brian Pearce as I recall, and he often will make side comments about the 10mm, which is nice.  There have also been a few reader question to which he will respond with data.

I wish they would make it standard practice to include 10mm data in their propellant profiles section.  They always have 9mm, 40 and 45, but never 10mm.

Amen.

I agree.  And, I suppose some do.  There's a fair amount of 1911 guys out there that really latched onto the 38 Super, but I think that was a competition thing more than anything else.  Then of course, in terms of 45s, there's the 45 super which a handful seem to like.  The only thing with 45 Super though is that at least at this time it is still uncommon enough to make the 10mm look common.  Rock on 10mm!
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Just like 1911 on every cover, same goes for the AR15.  Man I feel that rifle is getting shoved down my throat!  I've had 2 for over 30 years, just not the new improved with speedometers and mudflaps hanging all over it.   I'll still take my Steyer Aug any day.

But the reason we keep seeing these guns over and over, is Growth!  It's a growing market and people want to know more and all there is to know about it.  Thus.......
