I take mine AND carry it
It is concealed very well
If I DO need to use it, it would be a life and death issue anyway
My feeling has always been;
No State, County or City has the right to pass a Law that limits a Constitutional Right
Even the 9th and 10th Amendment doesn't allow for that
WE allow the States to do it to us
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

Does your coworker want some professional advice?

Indeed! That's often the best kind of advice. This scenario is pretty iffy and everyone is going to do what they're going to do. I always say keep to the law and be a responsible gun owner.

I believe your friend should stick to the law. If it were, say the NJ shore he were going to, as an LEO from NJ I would tell him to absolutely NOT bring his weapon with him. With concealed carry there is no reciprocity in NJ. If Your friend were to be caught with the weapon he could be arrested. Or say he had to actually use his gun in self defense? The prosecutors would no doubt use the fact that he was carrying illegally in trial.

It is unfortunate that things are the way they are. I wish I could tell your friend it would be okay to carry out of state, but I can't.

Stay far from NJ.

I am as law abiding as it goes but here in NJ I am not allowed to protect myself or my family while out of my house.  Maybe someday every time my family leaves our house a police officer will accompany us to keep us safe.   I am not even allowed to apply for a CCW.  Well I guess I could but they tell you up from that the CCW Iis for retired officers.   So i am a piece of crap in this state and I don't matter.  I am not good enough to be allowed to protect myself or family.

Way to go NJ. The arm pit of the USA and it stinks.

My unrestricted NY permit is invalid in nassau, and westchester counties. A NYer cant carry in NYC, I stay away from that dump, or any other city. The non urban areas in NY, are still pretty conservative, ive heard 70 percent arent, for, or against, guns and hunting. The problem is we are connected to a liberal cesspool, called NYC. The applications for pistol permits, skyrocketed, since his majesty was elected president.

I will not spend a penny in ANY anti-2nd amendment state, or grace them with my presence. I won't finance their agenda.  I advise my friends/family to stay away from them too.. The criminal element preys upon tourists in those states, knowing that the majority of people will obey the law.
There are plenty of pro 2A states around that would love to take your vacation/travel money.
I abide by the rule of law, & if a state won't let me defend myself, I have no reason to be there.
The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed.
