Blue Dot , or IMR 800 X ?

dl1911 , Thank you for your help .  I have some Blue Dot on Back Order , and as soon as it gets here I'm going to try it out .    800 X looks like a good high velocity powder for 10mm because of the low pressure to velocity ratio , but everyone says it meters like corn flakes .   I was just trying to find out if 800 X was that much better that it would be worth the extra time , and effort involved to safely use it .

I started reloading many years ago , but got out of it , for a long time .        Now I'm back into it , and 10mm is all new to me .

Yeah, I lucked out and got a 5 pound jug just before the place sold out of them.

gandog56 , At least I was able to back order the Blue Dot .  Try getting Accurate 1680 , they won't even let you back order that stuff .  I need it for my 300 Black Out rounds .

I'm trying to remember where I bought that 5 pound jug of Blue Dot I got not too long ago. I thought it was Wideners, but that was 8 pounds of Red Dot....which they ran out of fast.

Can't find either bluedot or x800 anywhere so I'm stuck with 231. Both bluedot and x800 rock for 10mm.

I was able to get a pound of Blue-Dot Today . I had to drive down to Clearwater , about 36 miles to pick it up .  He would only sell me one pound of the Blue-Dot . He also had another Powder I have been trying to locate , Accurate 1680 . I need the 1680 for my 300 Blackout rounds .   He would only sell me one pound of the 1680 as well .   I hope this will hold me until the stuff I have on back order comes in .
