How much did they want to buy?  I didn't see an amount.

I wonder if they have bought ammo in the past?

I don't know exactly why they would need to buy ammo, even if it was legal to CCW in a PO??

Maybe they should start selling ammo to make a profit, they keep loosing money at what there doing.  ;D

Does the USPS have its own armed field agents?

Intercooler

Nothing on Snopes yet. Considering the source?

Patriot

This is true, I read the USPS ammo request here: https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=bc222ffef75536f044a0e0353788683b&tab=core&tabmode=list&print_preview=1

However, it's not that big of a deal. The post office has a 500 man uniformed police force, and 1200 criminal investigators. All of them are armed. When I was a gunner in the Navy they sometimes came on base and used our shooting range.

Hope this doesn't mean another round of shortages is going to start. And what's with the 600,000 AK-47 Mags the Army is buying along with the huge number of 7.62 ammo?

Well the Postal IG and postal invstigtors are fully qualified B and C carrying federal agents who train and arm as other federal LE agents do :)
