Personally, I like Mossberg 590.  However, the Remington 870 has stood the 'test of time'.  The Ithaca 37 is also great if you happen to be a 'southpaw'.  I'm a big fan of load, and eject from the bottom.

Mine is the Remington 870 30" Full Choke (real choke about 9", not the screw in type), has taken many ducks out to 70 yards when lead shot was legal.  Rabbits and squirrels didn't stand a chance, Took a nice pheasant in Pennsylvania.
Skeet were always fun! 8)   Have a 20" Rifle sighted barrel (ImpCyl) for buckshot and rifled slug work.  ;D

I have (4) pump shotguns-
2- Mossberg 590 A1's w/20" barrels and 8 round magazines
2- Ithaca 37 "Riot Guns" w/18" barrels and 7 round magazines

I have to say, that while the 590's seem a little more stout, and carry an extra round, I really like my Ithaca's. They're quicker to get on target, and the actions are as smooth as glass.

I've consolidated down to the Mossberg 500 and lots of 'em, position in various locations on the property. The first shot is #8, everything else is #1 Buck.

For me it's the Benelli M3 (the SPAS is too bulky) or a sleek Ithaca 37/87's.

The wood stock model is one of the new style with a non removable barrel.

Had one, smooth action, mine was 20gauge and was too heavy for a pump that size.

Great for a lefty, pretty to look at and bottom ejection. Heavy means less shoulder damage  :D

I think my next firearm will be a shotty and have had my eye on the Mossberg 930 semi-auto lately due to the price point being not too much more than a pump.  Anyone heard good or bad things outside of store reviews?

Definitely want 6+ shell capacity but don't want it too long either.  I do like that wood Ithaca pump.  I went to Cornell for a few years a long time ago and friends and I walked thru their old empty, rundown factory a few times messing around that was not too far from campus(Ithaca, NY).

KSG, 15 rounds of fury !!!! If you load Aguilla mini shells it'll hold 25. Just don't short stroke it!!!

2 soon to be 3 mossberg 500s. One is older than me, inherited from my grandfather.. I'm 40 now, had it since I was about 10. Other one was bought new at a pawn shop, long story but it was missing the barrel. I gave $100 for it.
I have owned various other 500s over the years but these two are here for good.

I have 2 brand new Benelli's, Nova Tacticals. Got them both at Dick's Sporting Goods for $300 each. I like the fact that you can eject the chambered shell without taking one from the magazine in the event you want to throw a slug down range in the midst of a buckshot shower.

tommac919

the cheap Mossenberg 500 little brother known as the Maverick .  Short barrel/long ammo tube

Bought 2,  to throw one in the trunk of the car and one in the house...  cheap but about 200 rounds in each, they work just fine

Best part is got 2 for almost the price of 1
