Trying different powders

I've been out of town for a month camping and have visited several shops that have some powder, which is unusual. I've picked up some Power Pistol, SR4756, AA#7, Bullseye, and an old can of HS5 that I got for $10. Those are in addition to the Titegroup and HS6 I've been using and an old can of HS7 that I have not opened. Also got the HS7 for $10 about 3 months ago.
I load mostly 9mm but a good deal of 10mm practice stuff for GSSF matches. I hope some of these will serve my purposes.

Power Pistol looks like it can do well in many different calibers and weights.

And from what I've read, seems to be very accurate. I'm going to load up some next month and hope I like it as I bought 2-4lb. jugs. We've been using about a pound of TG each month, but the PP uses more powder per load.
I've also noticed that some powders per volume are heavier than others. Am I correct? Seems like the HS6 threw a heavier load when I changed over from Titegroup in my Dillon 650.

Snuffy, Power Pistol is a great powder for 10mm and many other cartridges.
Your question;
QuoteI've also noticed that some powders per volume are heavier than others. Am I correct?
Yes some powders are fluffy (less dense)  others are very dense thus heavier.  They also vary by texture, size, color, smell & shape examples or flake, ball, rod, perforated.  Some have identifiers mixed in, examples are Blue Dot, Red Dot, Green Dot.

I see you have gotten some HS5 powder, If it wouldn't be too much trouble could you take a picture of some in a scale pan, sort of close up well lighted... I am collecting pictures of various powders for study.  The higher the resolution the better...send them as an attached picture file if you can.

You can e-mail the pictures to _shadow_(at)bellsouth(dot)net, remove the parentheses and place the @ and the .

Well, I just scored 8 pounds of Blue Dot, so that's what I'll be using for 10mm for a while.(And .357 mag, and .44 mag, and .45 Colt) I used to use it years ago for all my magnum loads, but haven't seen it around much since then. Other powders I've used for 10mm is Unique, HP38, Accurate #7 and #9, and 800X.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

I mis-spoke. It was 8 pounds of Red Dot, only 5 pounds of Blue Dot.
